I have not received my SA yet, CIC received our application on May 28th. I tried logging into ecas with my UCI (sponsor) and see the following under
'Application received' status.

Permanent Residence
We received xxxxxxxxxxx's application for permanent residence on May 28, 2014.

But I dont see 'medicals received' anywhere.

Will it be updated later when I get the SA?? any idea guys???

i received my SA 2 weeks ago and i have no "medical results received" either. don't worry, it doesn't depend on your SA. also, the eCas doesn't update all the time so don't rely too much on it.
you're just past the 55 day mark so don't necessarily expect SA yet, you're still within "normal limits". i'd say you'll receive your SA at the beginning of the next week :)

that would be awesome :) you're next! ;)

hopefully yes and thanks for reverting back the spreadsheet to plane text.

That was too bright for the eyes. Much easier to view it in plain text

We received our SA today! It is so nice to know our application was complete!

Makes me jealous. they got my app the same day as you but I've heard nothing yet :(

I wonder if they might accidently go to my spam. What does this email look like and/or who is the email address it comes from? (so I can set it as non-spam if it comes)

Dont worry. Even I haven't received my SA yet, per current trend looks like we will receive sometime after 60 days period. Since I had my UCI number earlier with CIC(from my WorkPermit), I tried logging in and I can see my file.

My husband has the uci number when he immigrated to Canada over 10 years ago. I used his uci number to check status. It shows that they received our application on May 29th. We haven't received any emails from CIC. Just want to share with you that if you have it from previous application or you can get uci number by calling CIC, you can check your status online.

I updated our case in May Google doc that I received an AOR on July 22, 2014. I actually haven't received anything and do not expect that we will receive any email before SA. The website states that they have received our case on May 29th, 2014. I took it as an AOR if it is okay. I see many posts here that applicants do not receive AOR but only SA after more than 60 days.

Good luck yokies! I'll call tomorrow and ask too :(

Did you have any luck yet or any updates from cic? I hope they look at our applications soon!
I think I'll ask my spouse to call more frequently once we get into August.

Our application was received May 14th. June 28th we got an email saying I (the sponsor) didn't fill out a IMM5406 form. I did, we sent it off and it was received July 5th. July 22nd I got sponsorship approval!

That's good news for us!

So sad to hear that Mrs. Purcy. Thats another one of the May applicants that is seeing a delay now. Its a bit scary.

But, I'm very confused - hope you can clarify: You are in Mississauga, you are the sponsor. Your husband is the applicant, he is in Ireland, right?

They sent a letter to your husband in Ireland about a missing form? And that form is IMM5406 - Additional Family Information, which was missing?

Looking at IMM5491E, which is the document checklist, IMM5406 needs to be filled by the applicant (person being sponsored), not the sponsor. IMM5406 is not in the checklist of documents required from the sponsor. I didn't submit it - I'm the sponsor. My wife submitted this - she is the applicant.

So, then why are they requiring you to submit this info if its not in the checklist? And why did they send a letter to your husband, not you about it? My guess is that your husband needs to fill this out, not you. If he already did in the original application, that just makes this even more confusing.

I was catching up on this thread yesterday and noticed this post saying that the Sponsor DOESN'T need to fill out this form, only the Principal Applicant. I panicked a bit and looked at my email I received from them again closely and noticed that it did say that the Principal Applicant needed to fill out the form. I had the horrible sinking feeling in my stomach... So I emailed the CIC. I checked my email this morning and I didn't get a response for that email, but instead it was for sponsorship approval. Feel ecstatic.

So yes, the sponsor does need to fill out their own copy of IMM5406 if they are the spouse, which it clearly states at the top of the form.

Anyway, it says Manilla's processing time is 14 months. :( My wife was hoping to start school in September but it doesn't look like she will have PR by then. If the rest of the process is smooth, she should get it in September, but she emailed her school and they don't allow deferring acceptance. :( Does anyone know if the CIC would urgently process her application by a few weeks if we called them like a year from now?

Do they have the same kind of wording for everybody for sponsorship approval ...like you have met the requirement for eligibility as a sponsor....or it depends on the Visa Officer to make their own format....Just Curious...
