Hi, got my passport stamped. After 1 year of nervous waiting, finally its done. Now should plan for landing.

Hi canuck_sd,

How long it took for stamping? and are you inside Canada ?

Seniors !!

I need your advice on where to send my passport ? The processing center is in Canada , but currently i am in Europe .
I know that I can also ask cici to make arrangement for visa stamping in local consulate, however I do not know if it will delay the process or not ?
I will appreciate your comment!!!

Hi,

I got email from CIC asking for my cv with details of employment and a weird form which is asking for my study background. In the form it is asked that when you come back to your country which company you want to work.

I have submitted my cv and my study background 1 month ago and they had received it.

It is asked to upload the form in MyCIC account.

Do they mean my Ecas account? If yes there is no place there to upload it.

I might take between 3 days to 20 days.. it took 3 days to me to get response from CIC for Visa office change.

thank you for your response, if you had the same experience- requesting to print your visa outside Canada, could you tell us how was ur experience ?
I also called cic to ask about what this visa will provide me, is that allowing me to enter multiple times ?(I am not from visa exempt country) they told me that I should request travel documents from consulates outside Canada. The question is what I need to do if I want to travel before I will receive my PR card.

Hi All,

There is no update on my file since may 23rd 2014.
I created a GCMS request and got reply saying " employer letter dates are inconsistent with the actual work permit" and i sent them an updated letter last month and created one more GCMS request but still the status on my file is same.

Can you please advice what i can do now?
Thanks for your inputs in advance.

I applied for my second GCMS notes on 21st of March. I have sent an email reminder as they are still outstanding...

I am starting to get annoyed now as my file has gone for second review and I am seeing EE applications approved!!!!!!!!!!

My 12 months is on the 12st of May and they will be receiving a phone call from me on that date and I will demand answers!!!!!

:) :) :)

Hi guys!

I need some advice please.

I received my gcms notes and as per to the notes by first officer my job duties are generic and does not necessarily confirm my experience in my NOC. Review required by second officer.
What action I can take here my end before second officer looks at my file ?

Go to the job noc code and get your employer to write a new letter that's more consistent to what they determine for your category.

Guys I did upfront medicals on 6 may and upfront rprf on 4may for soneone to update the list.

Thanks in advance.

Just landed yesterday (May 10, 2015) at Toronto International Airport.

I was just asked for the COPR, Passport and Proof of Address (Driver's License).
Very straight forward landing. It took only about 3-5 minutes as it was almost midnight.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for their PR.
