Lol I quit drinking over 10 years ago when the missus was pregnant with our first daughter, she's now expecting our 4th child lol so NO partying for us,a Canadian friend does want to take us out to his acreage for a weekend though to celebrate,I just might have a few drinks there.

It does look like CIC is processing applications faster now,my friends application last year took 12 1/2 months, ours has taken around 10 1/2 months hang tight guys I am sure that everyone will get the DM in ECAS pretty soon!
Buddy..

How many days for you to receive your passport back?

Thanks..

Hey Bharat,

Don't worry too much. I am in a similar situation to you with the processing started on 18th of march. I have not received the PPR yet. Since you are already waiting for the GCMS that is good but I doubt it will have much new in it since, if I recall correctly, your status was already "Recommend passed." There is nothing to do but wait, either for PPR or a new medical request for your wife, though I sincerely hope it is the former.

Good Luck and consider taking a break from the forums for a couple of day (it's addicting and depressing when you are at the home stretch) come back and tell us when you do get the PPR :)
Hi Simon,

Thanks for the reply, But still this wait is bothering a lot , I am trying to not to check this block so frequently but I am so addicted to it that it forces myself to check it...

I Hope so who ever is waiting for their PPR request they receive it soon and everybody gets their PR done, so that we can take a break from this and can start planning something else.... :D ;D :p

Stay calm and Good Luck... :) :)

I just got my COPR in the mail! :) :) :) I'm so happy and thankful!

I just want to say a big thank you to you all for the support and advice and guidance over the past year. If it wasn't for the great network and help from this forum, and people sharing their experiences and going along the same journey, the process would have been much harder.

Wishing all those awaiting the best of luck and congrats to those who have received their PR.

NatK :D

Hi folks,
Any May applicants for 2nd review ? Have you heard back from CIC, Seems the general trend was that due date for second review was end of March. Mine was 31 march, but have not received any updates.
Is there a possibility to know if they actually reviewed my application or it is still there waiting for its term?

Hi Scoot, I'm a fellow applicant from the uk. I was wondering if you can share your timeline?

I applied in July,
-received 18th July
-AOR 22nd sept
-RCMP request 29th jan
-medical received 27th march
-medical done 1st April

Just interested to understand how long I have to wait until COPR, since I understand we don't have to submit passports (uk visa exempt).

Thanks for your help.

plz help!!!1.....

i have got a communication from CIC yesterday, saying that the application is transferred to New York Office for further validation. please help what would the reason for transferring the application after 17 months of filing.

email from CIC:
This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Your application has been transferred to a visa office outside Canada for further review of your eligibility and admissibility for a permanent resident visa.

The Canadian visa office in New York will communicate with you via e-mail. The email you receive will come from email addresses that end in “ @ international.gc.ca” or “ @ cic.gc.ca”. Please add these to the “safe senders” list in your email program. You should also check your junk mail folder in your email program and/or in your email website in case important emails get filtered into this folder.

Please note that the visa office in New York cannot respond to case status enquiries at this time. We ask you to be patient and wait until that office contacts you within the next two months. Your patience will permit the visa office to begin work on your application more quickly.

However, if your personal circumstances change, such as the birth or adoption of a child, a marriage or a divorce, you must inform that visa office immediately. They must also be informed if any of the following change:

• Change of email address
• Change of residential or mailing address
• Change of immigration representative (if applicable)
• Decision to withdraw your application
• Approval of Arranged Employment Opinion by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada

Please forward all future correspondence as follows:

By email: CNGNYG @ international.gc.ca

By mail: Immigration Section
1251 Avenue of the Americas
Concourse Level
(between 49th and 50th Streets, midtown Manhattan)
New York, NY 10020-1175

Thanks scoot, I'm hoping I don't have to wait 4 months from MR to COPR. I didn't mind the wait most of the time but this last part now I have done medical and RPRF is killing me!

Hello May applicants,

My info is the following:
0. Date filed : 16 May 2014
1. AOR received on 4th of July 2014
2. Ecas: We received your application on May 21, 2014. (only one line)
3. NOC: 2175

I have not received medical request yet, this is a bit scary. :(

I am still waiting for my GCMI, as I request it on the beginning of March.
Just wondering what is the reason that nobody contacted me yet regarding my file....

Is there anyone who still waiting for MR?

CIC seem to be speeding up slightly,my application only took 10 1/2 months to reach DM which surprised me as I was expecting it to take the 13 months that it said on the CIC website at the time.
