Hi Guys,
I am Indian national traveling form Canada to India. I have a connecting flight to catch at London heathrow and my bags would be thoroughly checked in. The Layover time for next flight is 4hrs and change of terminals is required. I am currently Holder of Indian passport and i am temporary resident and have a valid Work Visa to re-enter Canada as per my status and i also hold a valid Visitor Visa to The United States.

I would like to know if i qualify to exempt transit visa to travel and catch my connecting flight in London.

Hence Uk boder rules states,

1.You won’t need a visa if you are traveling to Canada, New Zealand or the USA and have a valid visa for that country

it doesn't describes and onward situation form Canada,The USA or Newzealand.

2.You won’t need a visa if you are traveling from Canada, New Zealand or the USA and it’s less than 6 months since you last entered that country with a valid entry visa

I am having hard time understanding this clause as i am assuming that the person has a visitor visa and if he overstays in that country he wouldn't be allowed to transit through Heathrow.

Hi Coold
U don't require a visa if u are just changing terminals at London Heathrow provided
(1) U have a valid multiple entry Canadian Visa stamped in your passport which is not expired at the time of journey.
(2) Your luggage is already checked in at Canada and will get it in India directly.
(3) Your entire journey from Canada to India is booked as part of single ticket, i.e. codeshare flights or same airlines

Same rules apply even when you are traveling from India to Canada. I have traveled in a similar situation and did not require any visa provided the above 2 conditions are met.

Thanks Skill75,
I am kind of sure now that i don't require any visa to travel. Well i also wrote an long e-mail two weeks ago to British Embassy Toronto but still no reply.

I hope we start getting Medicals by the End of second week of November.

When does the application status change from "application received" to "in process"

Thanks,
Roopali

This should be changed when you receive AOR from the VO , but since some of the VO's like NDVO do not send AOR's and generally skip right to MR and RPRF stage , hence this status change is done without any comunication, & getting this status change to In progress means MR is probably on its way

Hi folks, after getting my BOWP, I changed my employer. Do I need to notify CIC about this change? Please help. Thanks.

I believe it clearly states that you should as per the AOR.

Please inform the Centralized Intake Office by e-mail at CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca of any status changes in your application (birth or adoption of a child, marriage or common-law relationship, new occupation or employer, change of address, change of e-mail address, change of immigration representative, etc).

Did anyone from May 2014 got their medical notification.

Hi,

I applied on May 5th and is at the stage where I sent my Indian PCC and RCMP cerificates. Does anyone from May had their notifications received ?. The spreadsheet appears not very much updated. Any update would be appreciated.

Thanks for the advice, cee12345. That makes sense. I will inform them accordingly.

I sent ppc from back home 10 days ago via regular mail. Should I expect any update from cic that they receive it, or not?

I don't think they will inform you about it unless you email them for confirmation. wait for 4-5 days after it is received by cic and then email them for confirmation.
