My Application status is same as the first day: Application Received

We received your application for permanent residence on May 8, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

Mine is the same as you. Nothing changed and from the beginning the status was "In Progress"

I'm in exactly the same position too... I'm "In Progress", but I don't have that 3rd line... "We started processing..."...

My last GCMS said "recommend pass", so I am just trying to stay patient and positive and think that maybe CIC is being slow right now with dealing with EE and everything else... unless we have all gone for a review by a senior VO and they're just checking and rechecking applications to make sure everything is in order.... time will tell I guess! I'm going to wait another 2 or 3 weeks, then apply for another GCMS I think.

eshan; you will get it soon coz if you check tom_brave he is the same is yours as of medical request, but for me I recieved medical request on December 29th and it is received by CIC on January 13th 2015.

That is what I am hoping for Imam, but as natk said if our files go for review with a senior VO, we may have to wait longer...

But isnt that the case only when the file is marked for review... we can find the status from the GCMS whether its marked for review or not and can find it out right??

every file has to go through sr VO review whether it is "review required" or "recommend passed". I think they will touch the files when they got security criminality passed. not sure

I receive email now asking for more information including my cv and list of publications.

I was waiting for PPR but I get this email.

It seems I have to mail them to the office in ottawa.

did you update CIC for any changes after filing your application??

No. Because nothing changes after submitting my application. I am in the same work. Just some new papers are published.

When I applied for work visa before to come to canada, the visa office asked me the same documents. I consider this new request from them as a positive sign

Last week I think two people got the PPR around 10:00 PM (not sure of the time zone). So hopefully we are not done with the news for the week.

Dear all,
As I see, there is nothing to predict. Every case is might be dealt with differently.
So, what I recommend for my me and everyone is patience. I know it is headache till one receives PPR .
Hopefully, by the end of the month we get PPR.
