I don't think it is around their business hour since I got the email Friday night around 10pm, my notes came in around the same time too. I thought they have the auto out going emails on Tuesday and Thursday only but I guess it really depends on your case. I got the RPRF request on March 10th and paid it next day through online debit then forwarded receipt by email.

is there anyone who has criminality in progress and security not started... medical and eligibility are passed or recommended passed...???


and submitting pcc(of origin country) now, can this cause delay in criminality check... even though cic still did not ask for it...?

anyone here who knows about it?

My GMCS notes say the exact thing as yours... Criminality - In Progress, Security - Not Started, Eligibility - Recommend Pass, Medicals - Passed...

I sent my origin country Police Check when I sent in my application. I think everything is normal for us right now, and we just have to wait a bit more... No cause for panic yet!

Criminality check has to do with your criminal record. It will cover things like if you have been arrested or found guilty of something in the past in the countries where you have resided.

Security check has to do with your listing in some watch list by security or intelligence services (Canadian or otherwise). It will cover things like if you are on a no fly list, suspected of terrorist links etc.

I would think the security check would be more time consuming as the criminal record in most cases is covered under the Police Clearance Certificate but we DO NOT know what is the procedure or sources for the security check.
