Congratzi!!! :) may ikukwento pala ko, i feel the need to share it with all of you, who like me, has been waiting for what i feel is the longest i have ever waited for something i want so bad. Kaninang 4pm novena sa baclaran sa thanksgiving letter na binasa, story ng victim ng 3 storms most recent was yolanda. The wife has been working in hk while husband as a skilled welder in japan since they got married. Sabi sa letter nya nung yolanda wiped out lahat lahat ng pinundar nilang magasawa and they had to come back in the philippines kasi may anak sila. Wala silang matakbuhan nagdasal ng nagdasal, nag apply yung asawa nya as skilled worker sa canada - welder ng november on the same month, natanggap at nakalipad sya. The wife and the kid, nagiintay lang nung march, tinawagan sila ng cem na okay na ung application nila and on the 12th papunta na sila sa canada.

I suddenly realized that we are so lucky kasi nagiintay lang tayo, hindi tayo inuna dahil victims tayo ng calamities. I was humbled. I hope ganun din maramdan nating lahat.

Family Class applicants
Sponsorship application (per application) $75
Principal applicant $475
Principal applicant, if less than 22 years of age and not a spouse or common-law partner (including a dependent child of the sponsor, a child to be adopted and an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild) $75
A family member of the principal applicant who is 22 years of age or older, or is less than 22 years of age and is a spouse or common-law partner $550
A family member of the principal applicant who is less than 22 years of age and is not a spouse or common-law partner $150

4. Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)

▼ Getting your permanent resident status – Fees
Getting your permanent resident status $490

Principal applicants (with some exceptions) and spouses and common-law partners coming with them to Canada must pay this fee. Applicants must pay this fee before CIC issues the permanent resident visa or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada.

These people do not have to pay this fee:
•dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
•protected persons, including Convention refugees.

sabi ni hubby hindi na daw need na magbayad pa ng RPRF...but he want to make it sure susubukan daw nya tawagan ang immigration and ask about it...

Sis you have to pay the rprf unless you fall in one of their exemption categories. Landing fee mo ung rprf. As per our consultant, it's best to pay eveything because you can always ask for refund - and the immigration will also issue a refund if you're eligible for it.

I have read from the forum that some applicants got their visa yesterday. My husband is from Las Pinas, but they were not around. We are not sure if DHL have stopped by or something. For sure they will not just leave the documents in of our front door kung may meron man. Im afraid na baka we missed our visa. Haaay...

Thanks!
