How come you got your visa so incredibly fast? Nairobi has an estimated time of processing of 25 month and you've got it in less than 3? How? Teach us

Well they called my husband and told him that because his medicals are expiring on Sept. 21 that he had the choice to either re-do them, or they could issue the visa on the condition that he make sure he lands in Canada before Sept. 21. So he obviously chose the second option to avoid delays! I'm not sure how we got so lucky!! I was so shocked when he told me! He is in Nairobi now, about to pick up his passport in a few hours! I wish I knew our secret, but I feel we just did the same thing as everyone else, lots of proof of relationship, etc.

Small update: We requested GCMS notes on July 29th, received them August 27th.

It reads: Updated date: August 9, 2013.
App. Status Reason: "In Progress"
*E-cas has not been updated.

I am hoping that it actually means "in process".... :
