Received the book and letter in the mail today (Aug 30th)
Got my AOR, booklet and a short 'your language abilities' notice today (30.08.2013) :)
To be honest with you guys, I have no idea why they still mail the booklet to people. I can see the point in sending a short acknowledgement of receipt (perhaps to verify that the person really lives at the stated address), but why waste money on printing and mailing booklets? perhaps, people who need them and cannot use the pdf can request them separately...

Hello guys,

I am new on this thread. I just received my AOR on my mail today with the letter and booklet. Is this means that this will normal processing and they will not send me RQ anymore. Please shed some light.

No. Receiving an AOR does not in itself guarantee an RQ will not be issued.

buboy - Welcome to the May 2013 thread. Have you mailed your application on May?

Your conception on receiving AOR and connecting with RQ is absolutely incorrect as RQ can be issued anytime for known/unknown reason before your Citizenship oath. Receiving AOR more or less implies that your application will not be returned as incomplete.

Wishing you good luck throughout the process.

Thanks to all May 2013 applicants who received AOR and let us know. I will include your dates on the next update of the timeline table.

Have a nice long weekend.

Yes, I send my application on May and they received it on May 13. Start processing on Aug 10.

I mailed my application Mid May via regular mail ;D

They received it May 28 2013
Sent me letter of acknowledgement May 28 2013 (as per them)
Started processing application Aug 17 2013

I received all that this week i.e around Aug 27 2013 plus the discover Canada booklet and that little notice about English assessment. I think it's going to be a long wait because i for sure will get RQ because i stayed in the States for three years after landing in Canada and one year since the last four year exact. I am eligible date wise but lots to prove there Damn!

Thanks winnipegger. I will put your timeline in the next update.

Are you staying in Canada continuously since you moved here from USA permanently?
