Landed at queenston-Lewiston bridge tonight, crossed over to US, did flagpole and came back to CBSA. Nobody was there except us for landing, got over in 15 mins. Officer didn't ask anything, took the WPs and just said I need re-entry visa if I go abroad except US.

Can't believe I'm PR now, took less than 11 months, guess another long wait for PR card now..

Thanks again to the forum members!

Congrats. Another 48-52 days for your PR card.

Follow up for me: I sent CPC Ottawa a pester email yesterday (after waiting a month since my online status changed to 'in process') and today i got a message saying 'Your application has actually been approved. You should receive your confirmation along with instructions on the next steps in the coming days.' This is probably the most human-like contact I've had with CIC and is such amazing news to me right now :)

Nothing too out of the ordinary:
"Hello — Just inquiring to see if there is anything still pending on my application that is required of me. My status changed to ‘In Process’ about a month ago and wasn’t sure if I still need to send anything in."

Hey Guys ... anyone from May applicants got their PR cards?? i have been waiting patiently for 50 days now...

i want to book a flight to visit a family .. but i wont before i am sure i have the cards in hand , why does it take that long >:( >:(

By the way , i visited the states few days after i landed by Land , and came back using COPR with no problems :D :D

Hi all.

My family and I received COPR back in March. W are currently still in Australia and are planning on coming to Canada around August. We have just found out that my wife is pregnant (due December).

Do we just advise CPP of this?
Will this cause any problems do you think?

We were actually planning to land in October but have to bring it forward to August as we have to wait three months to be covered by BC Health.

Thanks for any help you may have

Hello Ferna,

No change in Ecas so far..

i did not know that they will update ecas regarding PR cards =/

I landed March 8th and still no card. Getting a bit worried since I have my sister's wedding in the USA on May 6th. I don't understand why the card has to take two months, and on top of that why I can't travel by air with the COPR

You can use your CoPR for traveling by land. (last resort)

Thanks cecstatchk. I applied the electronic one based on your inputs. Hoping to get good info this time atleast. Thanks so much for your response.

Hi cecstatchk & seniors...finally wait is over for me. Got the medical request and RRPF request. :)

I did the payment thru online now. Just want to check the email I'd s to send. They said the receipt must send to CPC -O. Also for fastest service they referred other email.

Do i need to send the receipt to the both the emails. If yes, can I send individual email to this addresses.

Please confirm.
Thanks.

If you're flying, have you considered driving to the nearest US airport? For example, I often drive to Buffalo to get better deals on flights, and there are good deals on parking there.

You would use your CoPR to get back to Canada in your car and you wouldn't need the PR card.

Hey Congrats!!! You need to send the RPRF receipt (fill it out with details & scan before sending) to Cost Reovery id (CPPO-Cost-Recovery@cic.gc.ca). No need to send it to the other id.
