Congratulations Maseti, whats your Ecas status now?

Thanks, for some reason I haven't been able to check my status on line since yesterday. I sent the CIC an email so hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

Hi,

Am exactly in similar situation. MR received on Feb 22nd , Meds done on 26th Feb, no RPRF request yet and ECAS is still application received. Frustrating is no change in ECAS and no RPRF request. AT least RPRF guarantees Eligibility PASS.

Same situation here...Meds done on 26th Feb and CIC received them on the 6th March...ECAS still shows "application received". No RPRF request...The only thing which makes sense to me is that they are doing extra security checks (I'm a Pakistani national) which I believe can take anywhere from 2-6 months. I noticed that applicants who don't get their RPRF request with their meds usually get the RPRF and Passport request together in one email...

Hi there,

When I was getting my medicals done, the doctor told me that after the office receives the medicals, they will start on the background/security checks. In my case, I've lived in Canada since I was 17 so I didn't have to submit anything for that. I got my PPR about 10 days after my medicals were sent and landed a few days after they returned my passport. It might be a case where they are now running your security checks

I agree with you except that they actually start security check when they send you the medical request. I received PPR the same day doc uploaded my medical.

Agree with ferna, from what I have seen it looks like background/security check initiation depends on VO. Some VO's start it off early and some wait till Med's are received or additional documents are submitted.

Hi Guys, Finally got PPR email. It was sent yesterday around 11:30pm.

I have a situation though, currently the mailing address as per my application is that of my lawyer. They advised me to send a letter with the Passports requesting CIC to mail back the passports to my address. I'm quite skeptical that it will work. Seniors please advise.

Thanks in advance.
