today we had two PPRs nole73 and Janna3D and one COPR amfiprion
not bad for a day after long silent days and weeks
I think that was the "busiest" day so far

hope for more good news next days

thanks... wish you to have news soon

We got my PPR on Monday along with a request to enclose a police certificate... but I don't think that certificate should impact our timeline much, VO in Vienna sends PPR's at the end of the process unlike some other VO's.

And I don't understand why do some people literally don't break a sweat for their COPR's... no idea, really. I received my Sponsorship Approval after 90 days, and some people received their COPR's quicker than that. Even VO AOR took 55 days which was the most for any applicant this year in Vienna.

That's life. Don't lose hope guys, things are moving along.

do we have any news from Besykobuset who had the sponsor approval denial?

I believe that 1 is a denial. When Besykobuset's partner was sponsored by her father she never added Besykobuset on the application and apparently there situation was 1 of a common law relationship and not a bf/gf relationship. Thus when CIC examined the application they were refused on the basis of inadmissibility because of failure to declare their relationship was common law. I guess now they will have to find another class in which to apply.

yes, I remember all you said.... I just wondered if we had any news...
guess not...

I call it as cultural insensitive. Some countries like Canada recognize common-law but other countries do not. Those countries where common-law legality does not exist, the only legally bound ties to family as a couple is marriage. If I'm back in my country, I am single, no family, period. I was denied a visa to a country because I am not married, no children, and it was interpreted that I have no family to go back to. My partner is non existent in my family, no matter how we support each other or how important to each other. On the other hand, even if BF and GF are living together, they may not necessarily consider themselves as family. The form is not at all self explanatory for immigrants-to-be. >:(

Quick update... I received an email from VO that COPR will be issued on the very same day when the police certificate and passport are brought to the embassy in Vienna. Therefore, we're almost done... ;D

Yeah May seems to have so little movement. April has had a lot of COPR's completed. Even some June, July, August and 1 or 2 September applicants have had COPR's. May seems to have little movement re: COPR'S, frustrated and now the VO's processing times have gone up. This process seems never ending!!

Whats the average total process time now? If you go by the CIC website the processing time for Manila has gone from 8 months to 11 months. I don't quite get that. It took 5 months just to get the sponsorship approval for us. I am not expecting my wife to get her PR until spring now. I'm dusgusted by this whole process.

Jeep Guy.....I would assume yours will be processed quicker at VO because of your long sponsorship approval.

Start looking at plane tickets for January...one of the coldest months...haha, YAY!

LOL. My experience thus far with CIC has not been ideal. Very frustrating to see others get their PR in the same amount of time it took us to get our sponsorship. I'm not expecting much.

Refer to the Manila SS. And if you want, join the thread Manila applicants for English speakers, which Steph opened. There are many threads for Manila VO but most of them are in Tagalog, which I don't have any clue..
