Just an update for everyone. I emailed the Singapore VISA office because I changed my Canadian Cell number but also asked if they had recived my sponsorship package from CPC mississauga becuase I had not seen an update on ECAS since it first passed in the summer.
The email I got is bellow
[size=10pt]"Dear Sir,
Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.
This Family Class application was received by our office on 19-Jul-2012 after being forwarded by Case Processing Centre Mississauga. Please note that we do not send an Acknowledgement of Receipt for sponsored spouse, partner, and child applications, given that they are processed very quickly. This application is currently pending initial review, after which we will contact the applicant directly to advise the outcome of the review and any next steps.
We are striving to make our processing of Family Class applications as efficient as possible. We continue to meet our commitment to a service standard of 6 months to finalization for at least 80% of cases for sponsored spouses, partners, and children. Processing times are calculated from the date the application is approved by Case Processing Centre Mississauga, after which it is sent to the visa office for further processing. For individual cases, actual processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the application and the number of new applications received by the visa office.
Applicants can check the status of their case on the CIC website by clicking on Client Application Status. For actual processing times of permanent resident applications in Singapore for the last 12 months, please click here. Applicants may also refer to our website, www.singapore.gc.ca, for more information about processing times.
We hope this information will be of assistance.
Sincerely,

So it seems my application is going pretty much according to the standard timelines. The case was approved at CPC missisauga July 10 and the package was sent and arrived in Singapore office 19 July. From that date if I follow the 80% rule, my wife should be approved by January or Febuary. Still a long time to be away from her but at least I have a rough idea of expected timelines.
Once again I'm sure YMMV depending on the situation however given we both have never been married, she doesn't have anything job or connection wise that would raise a 'red flag' and I work in a federal government department I'd say our chances of meeting the 6 month average is pretty good.
Hope others are getting some good news as well.
