Is anyone else finding it REALLLLLLY annoying that CIC does not actually update its website once a week on the day they should??????? Im getting frustrated that I cant check and see any progress from CIC.

Does anyone know on what day of the week they update their system exactly ??? is it Thursdays?? or Wednesdays ??? I have found some weeks its done Wednesdays and some Thursdays.. they need to be consise and up-to-date in my opinion...they are playing with peoples lives...

its just weird i found that they didnt update for 2 weeks and then it was updated on the 30th of May... which was a wednesday...

i just wish they would update on a daily basis so much better....

Im wondering how many applications do they get through with in 1 day.... :-s

Hi Alish, I do understand your frustration but I am sick and tired to CIC website as it is not correct....they are behind on their website I am a March applicant and I have been logging onto their website everyday since then but it is a waste of time. Since I have found this forum I never went on CIC website lol....I watched their time go up from 55 days for first step and then 75 days and then 84 days and 89 and fianlly 90 now....thats a long time.....

I understand what you mean... my application was originally sent in April and then returned to me after 15 days... i was at 84 days when I first sent it and now its at 90...not too much of a difference but its still in my opinion a long way just for an approval...

have you found any other way of finding out where they are at for their processing?? you mentioned this forum... but is there a certain link where the info is up to date here ???? or any forum that people are updating the date???

my friends they are still around these dates:

miss office - Feb 15 - Feb 20 ish dates

ottawa office - Mar 12 - Mar 17 ish dates <--- some files got sent here and some more will be sent here aswell in future

i say this from people's confirmations of responses from the respective offices...

That's because of the Buffalo situation I think. I noticed it too.. and it finally updated after the official announcement.

What is the difference between the Mississauga office and Ottawa office? Don't we all just mail them to the Mississauga office?? Do they randomly send them to Ottawa or keep them in the Mississauga office?!?!?

We can't know much for sure. But we do know that some applications are sent to Ottawa, presumably because Mississauga gets overwhelmed.

And he we are, the 'clients' without any information. Wait, did we all pay them a fee for something? What was that for? Oh, yes, now I remember...the worst immigration service in the developed world! And my American friend said that immigrating to Canada would be a lot faster than the US...not anymore...

When I get home I am going to go directly to a few newspapers to see about getting this in the press...I'm a Canadian citizen and I definitely deserve better service than this...this is what I would expect from a country like China...

Oh man Fencesitter, I feel you!! I wrote something about that in the April thread, I was reading their annual reports and how much money they make off us and not even a consistent weekly update. I cannot comprehend the lack of service and accountability this department has, it's a joke that in their report they have "family reunification a priority", reading that report made me so mad. Although I'm very happy that march applicants who have received approval are done with stage 1, I find it so unfair for the feb members that are still waiting, leaving families in limbo like that is just horrible. On top of that, the council that was set up by the Minister for immigration consultants is another joke, I've sent a couple emails following up on my complaint, no answer. It's like these government bodies take for granted the public's input. I'm also thinking about contacting local newspapers, both situations are beyond unacceptable.

Mailed our application for spousal sponsorship on May 31 and it arrived in Mississauga on June 4....do we belong in this thread, or should we wait until someone opens up a June thread?

Dear All,
I do have a question, UCI or ID number? is it right to use the number of Canadian Certificate number??? I just checked in the web page, on-line service and there was not listed among the documents where you can find it.
My second question is how come that during the validation of IMM1344 form the system did not show to me an error code???????????
i was sure that this number (7 digits, no letter, no space) was fine!!. Now that we have filled out all the forms and dated on 11-th of May all the other forms, do we have to replace this code with Permanent resident number?? or one of the options appears in the web??
i have to resign it and send it through mail- to Canada to my Husband, and this is losing one or two weeks more:(( i am felling vary bad now!!
