Is UCI the same as Client ID?

but I think thats useless, its not our fault if the police record expires in 3 months and CIC's part 1 takes 90 days to complete is it?? I have heard from somewhere that they check the police record if you have nothing they may not ask you to send it again, because I have heard that they too themselves do police checks as well, so its not just based on that piece of paper we send them its also what they investigate as well.
It just can't be expires the day it is delivered to CIC. It won't expire while it's waiting to get approved.

It's definitely not illegal to keep spouses apart during the visa process. That's silly.

FBI only takes 6-8 weeks. Officially up to 12 weeks to receive.
FBI for my wife took 8 weeks

FBI was 7 for me.

These are encouraging! I hope mine comes soon. The official site said 16-18 weeks when I sent my application.

That's why they need 3 months, to classify you and then it is the Visa Offices responsibilities, and the pitty thing is that the VO's are in different countries, so different laws are applied.
i do not know about this low? it might be true, but, what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!
imagine when you have children around (like me), how to explain them missing dad for around one year or even more?????

We are delaying because of that payment form, they send to you by mail (it takes two to three weeks!!!!!!!!!) to deliver just a printed paper(3-4 colours), so you can pay in a financial Institute. You know the Banks did not approve the request of my husband for a prepaid Visa card, so we were obliged to loose time (one month at least), just to make the payment.

Also he is trying to reach them by phone but it is impossible even if you try for a day long.
the problem is that we are expecting our second child, who is going to be born on august, and we do not know how to put our child in our application, since you have to declare the birth date, (and if you don't have one the form is not validated), this is the updated version of CIC. also i have to undergo X-ray examination, although i was pregnant, they do not apply standards for special circumstances like our case.

I'm not sure about this, but I have heard this from a couple different people, please correct me or if you have any other information please let me know your thoughts.

I have heard that these spousal applications are and should be processed quicker than other applications because by-law its illegal to keep a couple away from each other for such a long period of time, due to many reasons.

This so called "fiance" application used to be processed within 3-6 months altogether, I dont understand why it takes just 90 days for just part 1 to be completed, and thats if we are lucky.

Has anyone else heard about this law about not keeping spouses away from each other for a long period of time as well??

please let me know your thoughts or any information you may have please...

You mean they still X-rayed you even though you were pregnant?

Unfortunately, in your situation, it would probably be best to wait to send the application until after you have given birth, but seriously, that really angers me that they would not have special circumstances given that you were pregnant at the time of the exam.

It must be difficult to explain this to your children. My son is too young to understand any of this stuff, but when he gets older I am going to sit him down and have a long talk about avoiding CIC at all costs! I will tell him all of the anxiety his mom and I went through and that he should marry a Canadian citizen!!! I'm with my wife and son, so I can't exactly relate, but trust me, the pain of staying in a country that I hate is probably just as tough...

Good luck to you and I wish you a speedy process!

Yeah, it is true, the medicals discussed before deciding to put me on the examination, but on my readings through the internet, or Wikipedia, i learned that the dose of x-ray is not to as high as to damage the fetus (if i remember well it is in a ration 100 with 1000). we did not have time, because we thought it will more easy to start the application while we are with one child instead of waiting after my birth. at least we are gaining two months hopefully. and mean while my husband have some time to settle, find a job and get prepared when we'll be approved and be PR.
Anyway, it is true that patient has to be learned while waiting for e response from the CIC.

My husband's criminal check expired the week before we sent the application in. Knowing they would be expired, he immediately got his fingerprints done again and we are waiting for them to come back to us.
I assume even though it was a week, they will still request them? Should I wait for them to request, or once I get a client ID should I send them?

Also - does anyone know if they ACTUALLY correspond through e-mail? We put ours on the application and we have since moved (thankfully within the building so our supers can check the old mailbox, but just incase..) and I assume I cant change my address thru CIC until I get some sort of confirmation.. I just dont want them to send us something and it get missed..

When you get approval, send the new police record to your VO. Email, fax and mail it! It will avoid a delay in case they want it again.

Congratulations on your new baby :D

Hopefully they will process your application soon :)
As soon as you get your AOR you can email them and tell them about your situation about the pregnancy and the babies name I believe, my friend had the same situation she had her baby without her husband being there. She also got a letter from her doctor to verify that she was pregnant.

good luck

and lets pray that they dont keep us away from our spouses too long :'( its the hardest thing :( :'(
