Just an update-
I talked to a CIC call agent today and our application that was submitted May 1 is sitting in Mississauga. 128 days of SITTING THERE? The agent said she would leave a note and the officer would reply to it in 30 days. She also gave our ID number.

I used the ID to login to see our info (ecas?). There, a surprise was waiting. It says a decision has been made. And that it was made on Aug 2. The letter with our decision was sent out on Aug 2. It's Sept 4. No letter. The agent said that our application was still in process. Sounds like a real organized gov't office that we're dealing with....

Haha, it just makes me laugh. Is there anything to do but that?! Shake my head, of course.

I'm off to find out what that decision is... where's that letter?!

We have very close to the same timeline. I wonder what happened to those apps received April 30-May1.

Just a follow up for my status.. a customer service representative from CIC called me first thing Tuesday morning. I requested this through the call center. These are the people my MP will talk to next week, and they can't give any more information then the call center agents, but they do a lot more butt-kissing on the phone. Basically he said the same thing everyone has been saying. The call center can 'prod' CPC Mississauga about your application only once per month. After the month is up they can 'prod' again, via email. He just confirmed that my application was opened August 3rd and that they started running some kind of checks on me, most probably because I am self-employed. As far as I understood, he didn't see any action in my file since that date. But he said that doesn't mean they're not working on it. What really frustrates me is that nobody at CIC is held accountable for their actions of letting an application go feral on their desk. The call center has you behind this glass wall and you can't even complain because they will not do so on your behalf.

my wife called the cic today and the agent said it still under verification/in process. my wife has been calling them for the past three weeks and nthing has changed in the process and they cant even tell us whats is going on now with our papers. it seems we have to wait a little bit more as the agent said. it seemed that after we receive the aor last july 5, it has been sitting there for almost 2 months before really processing it. they cant even answer why they started to do june applicants yet there are still april and may applicants left behind.

Our lawyer is our rep and the emails would go to him. After the confusion from the call agent vs our online file, our lawyer looked into more today. CIC said over and over that they sent an email to our lawyer. Our lawyer checked all incoming emails (including junk, of course) and nothing. Over the phone they confirmed our answer was that I am APPROVED! We are still waiting to see a copy of the email...

My sponsorship approval was on August 9th, but i have not yet recieved my letter from CIC.. has anyone run into the same problem??? i am able to login to ecas and my case is in process but no letter yet.. i had my own clientID from before.

m8 i was approved as sponsor on august 8th and all i have is application received.

your "in process" is the best you could have gotten in a month. i will see in process in 5-6 months....

Hello,

I have been away for quite some time now.
Congrats to all of you, who got their Passport requests and approvals. I am still waiting for my PPR.
Has any one from ND VO received their sponsorship from Ottawa Pilot? Does any one have an idea what it implies? I was wondering if this is causing delay in my case. It took 97 days for sponsorship and now more than 23 days for PPR (which is pretty high as far as ND VO is concerned)

Hi alish, which part of your eCAS says in process? The sponsor's or the applicant's?
Also, how did you find out about the approval? Did you call in? If you got the email, there's not gonna be a snail mail. At least this was what my approval email said.

None,KJG, and Cgagnon i would like to thank you for taking your time to answer my questions when None told me to expect an interview letter for my wife around August 27. I also when to thank everyone in this forum for sharing and helping each other with ideas and last but not the least to say thanks to those updating the timeline spreed sheet.

Today Sept 7 my wife got an email from Accra inviting her to come for interview November 28 2012 at 8:00am. This is what she was told to bring with her to the interview which i don't think it was too much demand but still want to share everyone.

1) marriage certificate.
2)Photos of your marriage ceremony (if you are being sponsored by your spouse).
3)Proof of communication (i.e. photos, letters, E-mails, phone bills) between you and your sponsor, and any other documentation you may have in respect to your relationship.
4)Certificat de sélection du Québec from the ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles for yourself.
5)Historical identification such as school documents, birth certificates, previous passports etc. (Please bring originals of documents to interview if not already submitted)

My question is that what do they mean by historical identification such as school document, previous passport and birth certtificate. Is the provious passport means the passport we submited with our application or something else. They said please bring originals of documents to interview if not already submitted. The question seems that they are just explaining what historical identification mean but not specific what exact we bring whether bith certificate and passport we sent with our application or something else. Thanks in advance waiting for your suggestion.

congratulations bbccanada for your wife's interview. i was following your timeline because i am dealing with accra also and my file was transfered since july 9th 2012 and i have not heard anything so far.
can you tell me if there is an update on cic online regarding your wife's interview date ? thanks and good luck
