Sponsor approval!! I couldnt believe what I was looking at in the email inbox! I'm shaking with happiness just wish I could hug my boyfriend and celebrate together!

We're on day 96 now and tomorrow morning my husband (my sponsor) will call cic to find out what's going on.

Congrats!!! So excited for you!! Maybe we will get our email today as well! At least we know they're definitely working on apps received on May 17 now! So you didn't get AOR, just straight approval, right?!

yeah just straight approval

my boyfriend phoned on friday and they said they were in the process of working on it and we would hear very soon but no official AOR.

Please let London breeze through stage 2!!

Congratulations, and welcome to stage 2 in London! it's really quiet there for the moment, but maybe having lots of new arrivals will speed up a bit the process? Somehow I picture the applications on skis, arriving at the end of the slope to join the queue for London, and bumping into the last ones standing there! and maybe bumping everybody up a bit!

I'm just writing out a little update to send to london just now in response to our sponsorship (just change of situation, my partner left his job in scotland for one in canada so is out there right now and I'm going out to visit for 2 months so I think it could be relevant to let them know) do you have any experience of this, like what to put as the subject?

thanks for the reply guys! we are really worried about it. good thing there are some cases that are same with ours..

Some applicants had been told on the phone that it might take a few more months, and by the time they went back to the computer they had the approval email! the ones you talk to on the phone are not CIC agents, they are working in a call center. They can only see if your file is in the system and has been opened, or not. BUt they can't see where in the process you are... so you won't have to wait for too long. It's frustrating but you are almost done, so don't loose hope! it will be there soon. your file is opened, it's in the system and they are working on it, so you'll hear from them soon. Either by email or snail mail...

you should send via the website - case specific enquiry and just write a short description and attach documents if needed. Once you have sent it you will probably receive a mail telling you that they are not writing to you to confirm that your request has been received! but it gets there normally without troubles.

Yeah I am so relieved to have it before travelling as I leave a week tomorrow and was really hoping to be able to show the sponsorship approval to prove that we are halfway through the process.
