March 10, 2012- application received in Mississauga
June 10, 2012- approved
July 6, 2012- passport request
July 9, 2012, passport submitted
August 20, 2012- passport with Visa received

so approx, 5 months and 10 days (160 days)

I submitted mine June 15th, looking forward to hear from VO soon!!

I just phoned CIC 12 times and got through. They said they finally started to review me as Sponsor, now they're doing background checks, and it was the phone call last Friday that pushed them to start - guess I was forgotten. They said my app is in Mississauga.

good thing you've been calling them then! Don't worry at least now you know its underway, you will have it soon I'm sure. I am losing patience and I'm a few weeks behind you, so I can imagine how frustrated you are!
