Unfortunately the letter doesn't say why they were rejected. It's not even a formal letter. It's a bilingual photocopy letter saying that you must submit two new photos and sign the supplementary form provided.

I was worried about our photos as well but when we landed in December, I specifically asked the IO to check and measure the photo on the COPR to make sure it would be accepted which he confirmed was more than acceptable. He even checked with his colleagues. Alas even they were wrong

On the bright side, we did receive the letter exactly 37 business days after landing as the processing times state. Also, you don't need to show up in person to have photos retaken. You can now submit new photos by mail to the Processing Centre in Sydney, NS.

Next: Dair I can only say congrats in advance for the favourable results that we know you and hubby would have received after your interview on March 6th at 8am. You have had a tough struggle with some of us on here and I know and believe that GREAT NEWS is all you deserve right now.

I am so sorry, I have to apologize to those that took the time to send me PMs and I did not respond. No excuse is acceptable here. Hubby coming over was great, but we got pregnant right away and then I got so sick (still a bit sick every now and then) and it seems my life just became 10 times more complicated and I am no longer able to do other normal stuff like I used to. Lord, even my emails are backlogged like weeks and some months!. No excuse...So I am sorry. :'(

I am exhausted just typing this email, so...

Hope to come on soon for more goodnews, esp from Dair.

Anyway, PR card finally arrived through the post today March 28, 2012

New photo & signature was requested by post on Feb 27, 2012 and mailed back to them the same day. Didn't take too long, just a shame they got rejected in the first place :-X

So we are still playing the waiting game. I guess a bit of progress has been made this week my ecas changed from saying "application recieved" to "in process" dont know if that means anything but my fingers are still crossed

Is anyone still waiting to get approved???
Or am I the only one.....
Its a lonely world out here, I have barely been in since there id barely any action on our thread any more.
I have updated the spreadsheet, and it looks like almost everyone is done, only a few left but they might have been approved already but just not come on to mention it.
Well I hope everyone is doing great in Canada, hopefing to be able to get back there soon and settle down.

My husband was finally approved!! ;D Gets his visa on June 20th! Hope to arrive Aug 2nd. ;D ;D

I don't know if anyone else is still waiting from our old group or not... but I can sure empathise with anyone who is!!
