You're right there shouldn't of been any customs tax on documents, as documents have no 'value' as such.chrischris said:One thing bothers me from reading the thread - that some have had to pay a customs tax! Unfortunately for me, Customs accidently applied customs fees based on the 'insurance value' declaration on the courier's form which was solely in case the documents got lost in post and had to claim money back to replace our identity documents.
I also noticed we have a similar relationship timeline and looking forward to see how both our sponsorship applications progress
