congratulaions for the change of status.
but i m confuse how this change is happening on sunday. does cic and vo work on saturday/sunday.

Dr. Hasib,

The Medical practitioner who did the physical exam to female applicants was a female, while for the male applicants was a male. I think there's no issue with that..

IF PER (AOR1)is issued to some one ... does it mean that applicant has got required points (67) ? and his education and work experience meet the respective criteria against his NOC?

Yes, at the CIO stage. VO also does their own review like quals and experience....but it is pretty much a done deal when one receives PER (except in rare cases where some stuff crop up like misrepresentation etc)....Mandie

Yeah, that means you are good to go
Now the Visa office will check the authenticity of your documents (to rule out fakes), re-check points, and issue medical. Then security checks, and voila Passport---> Visa.

O @ Medical checking for Private parts...its a standard procedure. Dont sweat too much about it And also differs form DMP to DMP.

Just to share a good news ... My sister got her PER today ..... she is June 2011 applicant.
will share complete details as soon as i will get Email from agent ..... at the moment i just know about her PER ... was asking about AOR1 only because my sister was scoring 67 at the time of application submission. thats y i was asking about point calculation ...... now its a sign of relief
lets hope for best .....

Dear Mayians
Please tell me what is 2 AOR?. I received an email from sydney vo on 15/08/11 that they have received my file. On 18/08/11 i got another letter by ordinary mail to submit birth certificates of me and my wife as no certificates were sent with application to cio. I have already sent the documents so what can i expect now, a 2 Aor ??. :-\

@ Harry AOR is simply Acknowledgment Of Receipt...what u received on the 15 is AOR. Now what to expect is to go to 'in process' (u will get this notification thru ecas) and then medical request. As VO has requested for additional docs, they are working on your case... Good luck...Mandie
