Congratulations to all who received their AORs.

I am happy to share that we have also received our first AOR yesterday. It has been mentioned that the DD was charged on 18August2010.

Can any one help us understand how long it generally takes reach to the final stage of the process once we submit the full document to New Delhi VO? Also we have not been asked to submit medicals. Are there any chances of rejection after passing the first stage?

Regards,

Answering all the questions:

- I received my rejection via email. Also from FSW-Centralized_Intake-Office @ cic.gc.ca
- I elaborated a separate sheet in which I stated all the detailed experience in my area (0213). I even attached several job offers from Toronto which I couldn't accept because I wasn't a Canadian resident.
- I had 3 but less than 4 years of experience in the area (0213).
- The duties I filled in for 0213 were: Web Development Division Head, Web Development Project Manager, Internet Systems Administrator and Servers Manager.
- I also added another extra NOC to my app (2175), as Web Developer with 4 or more years of experience with the following duties: e-Business Website Developer, e-Commerce Website Developer, PHP & MySQL Developer, Web Designer, Webmaster.

The agent just didn't feel that I had enough experience in 0213, which is actually true. I am not a Systems Manager, I am an experienced web developer. I've been manager of 2 companies, and I currently own a company, but specifically focused on web development.

In my opinion, they first check if the application is complete, then they charge the credit cards, and finally they verify all the details. I believe that the person reviewing the application must be an expert in the area, so he/she can know if the work experience is real and actually related to the NOC code.
hi heritz

we have the same experience here. i know how dismayed you might be right now-- waiting for so long and preparing all the documents just to realize that everything you did will be useless in the end. i want to share to you what my friends told me also... they believed that I am really qualified for the job because i did not fake anything. everything is authentic. and i guess, it's the same in your case. the only problem laid to the fact that we depended on our consultant to do everything. since we don't know much about applying as immigrants, we gave this so called "authorized persons" who we knew are crafted to help us to facilitate everything. unfortunately for us, this is the turn of fate.

but don't lose hope... maybe God has his own reason why we were denied. maybe he is saying he has something better for us or perhaps he is also saying that this is not yet the right time... or perhaps we still may have a mission we should do in our country.

just hold on... hold on to the faith that something is better for you.

for all those who got their AORs, congratulations! next stage now...

my existing noc was already removed from the list. it's good that my husband is also qualified. although he still need to get his ielts.

question-- what should we put in the main duties? the exact words written in the hrsdc? somebody told me that we should not copy word for word. from my previous application my consultant wrote their some of the basic functions of my work. perhaps around 4-5 which can be found in the hrsdc although not the exact words. but somehow the gist is there. I am a little baffled right now on what to write in the new application.

also, the 1000 ceiling is very very quickly being filled up. now, since we are still waiting for the ielts. we are looking for arranged employment for him so the cap wouldn't be a problem.

don't copy word by word. read carefully job duties needed in NOC and then write them in your own words so they match NOC duties but not exact copy. also i think you should apply regardless of 1000 quota, if you are lucky enough you will get reponse if not then they call you next year

There is no timeline, but usually it takes about 1-2 years. You can refer to information given by CIC http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/02b-skilled-fed.asp

Medicals are requested at later stage, after they have review your full application, medicals actually last is thing before you get passport request/VISA.

There are chances of rejection at VO stage, because to CIO you send just application forms with information, to VO you send all documents to support information that you have written in application forms (contracts, reference letters, bank certificates etc.), final decision is made up on full documents. CIO they just make initial review.

I received today a notification telling me that my application has been denied. Within all the text, here is the reason:

"You have indicated that you have work experience in an occupation with the following NOC code: 0213- Systems Manager. Although this NOC code corresponds to the occupations specified in the instructions identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008, the main duties that you have listed do not indicate that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties. As such, I am not satisfied that your experience corresponds to NOC 0213- Computer and Information Systems Manager."

The money will be refunded to my CC within 8-12 weeks.

So, this is it. Thank you all for the support and the best of luck to you all.
Sorry to hear that. :(

my existing noc was already removed from the list. it's good that my husband is also qualified. although he still need to get his ielts.

question-- what should we put in the main duties? the exact words written in the hrsdc? somebody told me that we should not copy word for word. from my previous application my consultant wrote their some of the basic functions of my work. perhaps around 4-5 which can be found in the hrsdc although not the exact words. but somehow the gist is there. I am a little baffled right now on what to write in the new application.

also, the 1000 ceiling is very very quickly being filled up. now, since we are still waiting for the ielts. we are looking for arranged employment for him so the cap wouldn't be a problem.
Hi Jpma,

I am really sorry to hear ur outcome.. for job duties DO NOT copy from HRDC ... try to recreate in ur own words .. i applied under noc 1111 .. if you want i can share my duties (might give u some ideas) .. FYI - i haven't received my own AOR yet and not sure what might my outcome would be .. so can't say for sure if my own job duites would pass through .. below is what i included (FYI - i am a controll analyst for investment bank - work with commodities trader and work in a trade floor -- so my duties might look bit diff)

hear it goes:

• Plan, manage, control and evaluate the financial operations of the department dealing in daily risk based profit/loss attribution analysis for the global commodity (power, gas, petroleum, metals, coal and emissions) business
• Analyze, develop and implement the financial policies, systems and procedures of this department associated with trades/ trader positions and identify driving factors (via self-review and discussions with the desk)
• Coordinate day to day activities which include interacting with trading desk, technology, operations and other areas of the financial division.
• Review new activity and analyze the profit/loss through deal attributes, market movements and sensitivity analysis
• Lead a small team and important functional processes/initiatives.
• Advise on procedures and concepts in the Global Commodities Financial Control area and integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the functional area.
• Write profit/loss commentaries and notify/report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the organization's financial performance.
• Other reporting functions - risk based capital, inter company reconciliations, quarterly regulatory reporting, customer netting.
• Resolve complex problems or transactions where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines and processes.

Hope this helps !! if you need any other kind of info let me know or send me PM .. and again really sorry to hear ur outcome ..

I can't find where did you get that, information on table shows:

| No. | Name | NOC | Rec. by CIO | Payment Date | 1st AOR | DOC's to VO
| 036 | ciocan76 | 0213 | 7th May | 5th August | 30th September |
