Maximum Time of PR Card receiving

It's 71 days now

I landed on May 16, so it's only been 70 days for me

Casually, we have landed on the same date.

I just called CIC and they told me the Card was sent yesterday to the mail. So i assume it will b in
My mailbox someday next week.

A GENERAL QUESTION:How many days canadian post takes to delivery this pr card once it has been sent from CIC?

I just called CIC, and they told me they just sent my card this morning, after 70 days !!!

It usually takes about 6 to 7 calendar days for regular mail, though I'm not sure how long it will take from Sydney

You are welcome, and reciprocated for the regular mail info. Now it is just to wait.

Generally a private courier takes 3 to 5 days for international deliveries. What courier are you going to use?

i just choose option 2 for english and option 1 for PR... then follow the voice command..it will lead you till u reach the customer service...
They will not ask where exactly you are... just be ready with your hand the COPR and the address that you give when you landing...
Try to call them it might give them signal to produce your card, because 5 days after I called i recieved the PR card....

Finally got through the number n to my surprize they said they have mailed the PR cards last Thursday n I shall have then any moment. Let me keep a close watch on the delivery guy.

Like all m also an aspirant to migrate Canada for good...
I also did the filing in the month of may, already got PER couple of days ago !

Does anyone have an idea about Canadian Immigrant Integration Program (CIIP) ?

When exactly one can apply there to join the newcomers orientation program in India ?

I heard it helps a lot settling down as a new immigrant in Canada..!!!

Would highly appreciate if someone has some related re-search done on it and would not mind sharing it...

Hello,

I think you confused PR with PER, I know it's tricky but now that you are on the road you will learn a lot of terms and things along the way.

PR stands for PErmanent resident and in this case weare talking about the PR card
PER stands for positive eligibility review (if I'm not mistaken) and this is the first milestone in the fsw process.

As for immigrants help, I know for sure there are centre for newcomers in Calgary, they guide you to settle, look for a job, interact with others, workshops among others. On the other hand, I'm not familiar with the ciip. I haven't use it yet.

To participate in any new immigrant services, one of the requirements is to have the landing form and the sin. (Social insurance number)

No card today as well. Any way I don't expect Canada post to deliver on sat n sun..so let me hope that it's delivered on Monday .

I wanted to share with you the card was in the mailbox today afternoon!! Such a happiness!

It took 3 working days to get home (calgary). I hope everybody gets the card very soon!
