Hello,

I have done my ECA from WES and the report says:

Bachelors,
CANADAIAN EQUIVALENCY: 4years bachelors degree.

Master’s,
CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY: Master’s degree from non-recognized institution.

Does this mean I don’t get points for my masters degree in the express entry?

Can someone let me know please!

As per WES masters are not recognized. So points may not be awarded for that.

Anoop Satheesh..Please can you quote references for your statements..
As per my understanding, WES clearly says Masters Degree but the institution is not recognized.
So, I guess, it's recognized as Masters degree. But would like to hear from experts or from anyone who applied for PR with the
same result about their experience.

Yes the degree is a masters, but the institution is not recognized, which means its not valid in canada, which ultimately means, no points for that in CRS

The assessment results shown on the ECA report must match one of the outcomes found in the ECA conversion table, which lists the equivalency assessment outcomes and applicable education points. If it does not, their foreign education is not equal to a completed Canadian credential. In addition, an ECA with an assessment result showing "from a non-recognized institution” is not accepted.

If the analyst reviewing the eligibility is sleeping on the job and doesnt notice the 'non recognized' part then no worries.

Hi Guys,

Need your urgent help … I have done an evaluation of my credentials from WES and the report says:

Post Graduate Diploma from Sri Aurobindo Institute of Mass Communication,
CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY: Post Secondary study from non-recognized institution.

Does this mean I don’t get points for my Post graduate degree in the express entry system … has anyone ever got their Post Graduate Diploma from Sri Aurobindo Institute of Mass Communication now better known as Sri Aurobindo College of Arts and Communications credentials evaluated for Canadian PR?

Can someone let me know please! (my entire PR for Canada is stuck coz of this … any help will be appreciated)

As all the above replies above said. Non recognized in canada means not valid

baseline: NOn recognized university degrees are not valid in Canada, no matter which kind

Yes but there are other bodies like IQAS I believe are more lenient

You can certainly try getting your education assessed through a different body to see if you get different results. But as of now, you cannot get points for your post secondary education.

Hello Venu,
Did you find any other way to overcome this situation like getting ECA from IQAS?
