Hello everyone,
I was trying to look for a topic about the one I need information with. I got married last 2004 but we are no longer living together since 2011. Since it is too expensive to get an annullment in PH we just decided to never bother each other anymore. I have a daugher from him but she's with my mom in the province for I have to work to support her in the city. The last thing I heard is that he has no job but drives a taxi. I'm planning of taking ielts May 2017 and apply for express visa entry. I'm currently working as a software support specialist for 5 years in an American company based in PH but earned an Engineering degree ( Industrial Eng.)
What are my chances of obtaining a visa and get hired with my current status and qualifications? I plan to do an DIY as I believed it will still be the same process with getting help from a representative or agency but would cost me a lot.

I need some advice or advices from those who has more knowledge about this process.

I would greatly appreciate it and wish everyone a good life ahead of us.

Much love,
Claire

I am not sure what your chances are to get the express visa, and you'd probably get better advice on that on the Express Entry forum.

As for your husband, you are not obligated in any way to sponsor him to Canada once/if you get here. You must however declare your legal status on your application, which is "married". You will also need his approval if you decide to sponsor your child.
And of course, if you ever want to get remarried in Canada you'll have to get a divorce first.

I'm gonna go and check the Express Entry forum for my chances of obtaining the visa with my qualifications and status. I have been trying to get hold of anything that can provide me these information as I do not wish to start applying without any clear information for it may waste a lot of time so thank you so much for the quick reply.
