Married after coming to Canada with a Study Permit. Help!!!

Where did it got stamped at the POE? or the ur talking about the visa duration?

I think there're no guarantees that she will be allowed to stay the duration of his study permit. A friend's wife came to Canada and her passport was stamped the same date she had the ticket back home.

well ur friends wife must have said she wanted to stay for a certain duration......his wife should have said she wanted to stay with him till his studies r over....they ask u purpose of visit and how long u wish to stay

so do they issue for only the time you had asked for? as in US even if you ask for a 3 day trip they will give a 5 year TRV

She asked to stay for the duration of his studies.

She was told she should have asked for a spouse visa when HE applied for a study permit on their home country (best case scenario).

they are not married at the current moment. and he already has his study permit...so she will need to apply for a TRV or the open work permit...just doing research at the moment what would be best...thank you for your advice

she still hasn't applied for anything...just gathering information for when she is ready

both options have same chances but if her profile is not good then better to go for TRV....
