Thanks, Asivad Anac. You have been a great help.
Apparently, Divorced/Separated are treated similarly, and I am getting 464 points.
That's interesting. So you can proceed with the profile but make sure you update your profile when your divorce comes through. And include any children you have in your application regardless of your divorce situation.

Hi Asivad,

I need help with how to proceed in my case.

I've got the RPRF request yesterday & have been asked to respond within 7days, my issue is I'm getting married in the last week of September & would like to add my spouse to my application & land together..

Can you pls advise what I should do

1. Should I pay my RPRF & inform them abt the plans thru a CSE
or
2. Should I pay my RPRF & inform them only after I receive my PPR as I think the PPR explicitly asks if there is a change to marital status..

Your help on this is much appreciated..

Intentions to marry changes nothing. You'll have to inform CIC whenever you actually get married to add your spouse to your application. Depending on when you get married, CIC will inform you what needs to be done next.

That seems to be a question for an immigration lawyer because it involves some misdirection in the past and rectification in the present. I'm out of my depth here but I imagine that you should be truthful in your PR application now about your marital status and scout for any possible workaround documentation that allows you to post-date your marriage to a date after you came to Canada in the first place. I'm not sure if such a workaround exists but, if it does, get legal assistance on this front before submitting your application.
