Anyone applied in may2014 got dm or passport request yet. I have appiled in may 24th 2014 and few of my friends applied in may 2 got passport request.

WOW !! that's really advance. The most I hear is people from 5 of May getting IP. Any idea when your friends got IP?

Honestly, I really think that there is a confusion when people say that "late April and May applicants are getting PPR".

What I noticed is that many people would mistake "AOR" with "Application Date". There's a month difference between them, which would explain "May people getting PPR".

However, I still believe that some officers are quicker (smarter) and some applications are easier to handle, therefore a few late April and May PPRs are reasonable.

Hi there, we have exactly same timelines as yours except i got IP on Jan 26th. I'm ON PNP.
Do you have dependents in your application? I do.
I heard applications with dependents take much longer to process. Can people who got PPR with dependents confirm this please?

Yes, spouse and children.

Kids are toddlers, so there's nothing really to check. Spouse never lived in another country and was never associated with political parties, army and stuff.

I think they take more time to process those applications which people lived in different countries for more than six months, have similar names on Interpol list, specific home countries, and such things.

The number of dependants doesn't really matter, I guess. :

Me and my spouse have stayed in multiple countries, but our application was processed in line with other Single applicants...don't think spouse and multiple countries has anything to do with it...coz anyways they take 10-12 months for an application...
Obviously if a name pops up on some blacklist, then its a different story...RCMP finger print request and stuff.

I need advice into my matter, my passport is going to be expired soon (1st,July 2015) and Visa or workpermit also in same month.
I don't understand what to do

Can I go to India and wait over there for my ppr?

I have spouse in my application too. She lived in the US for less than 3 months so i guess it will be fine.

Tandi,

It is very important that you act upon renewing your passport as soon as possible. Considering the fact that the applicants with AOR of March are yet to receive their passport requests, it might be a while until you get your passport request. Either way, not having a valid passport at the time of passport request is much worse than getting your passport request while waiting on your new passport. You can always explain it to the CIC. But it is your responsibility to have a valid passport ASAP. You do not need to go to India to renew your passport. This link will help - http://www.blsindia-canada.com/new_ppt.php
