I have got request for RCMP fingerprints check. My spouse also lives with me. The request was only emailed to me. Do both of us need to get it done? For medical, we got separate requests.

Hello every one,
Hope Evey one is doing fine. I have to ask you guys a question on RCMP fingerprints check. I am April 23 applicant and submitted my RCMP fingerprints in June 2014 but I have recently got email from Ottawa for RCMP finger prints again. The email also says disregard request if you have submitted fingerprints already.
I need you guys suggestion whether I should go for new RCMP fingerprints or should let Ottawa know that I have submitted one already.
Replies would be appreciates.
Thanks

If you get an appointment with RCMP with in a week or two go for new finger prints. Or if the appointment date is more than that then just inform the CIC about ur submitted rcmp clearance. As far as I know, ur old finger prints will be good if you are in canada since the time you submitted your application, I mean if you didn't go out of canada for vacation.

Thanks Dileep Kumar, I appreciate your time to reply on my question. I have not gone outside Canada after submitting PR application but even then I will try to get new finger prints done if there are not major delays.

My application is with CPC-Ottawa.

If your certificate has RCMP fingerprints included then you don't have to worry about it. You may send them an email reply stating it was already submitted. In my case they have clearly said that you don't have to submit again if it was already done.
Hey Aman,
I also got email from Ottawa for RCMP fingerprints check but I already submitted one in June last year after getting my file number. Guys I need suggestion, should I email Ottawa and tell them that I submitted already or get new one?
Anyone had experience? Pls share thanks

I received an email two days ago requesting a fingerprint based criminal record check from my wife as well. And I know for sure we submitted to CIC in our original application.

Here is an explanation from my immigration consultant. " CIC must be misplaced your wife's clearance report when they do internal transfer, and that happens a lot. To save your processing time, you'd better redo it and sent it to them again."

We took my consultant advice and did one yesterday. I would suggest you doing the same. GOOD LUCK, Buddy.

Hi,
Thanks for reply I appreciate it..as suggested I will go for resending RCMP clearance check.
Is it possible fingerprints results go to CPC Ottawa directly from RCMP or I should mail myself... What do you suggest?
Thanks

Congrats to April Applicants for getting PPR or IP or DM status. I am still Application recieved with APril 3rd as filling date. I give up my hopes already in Jan starting as i am going to marry in India in feb so going to send email to CIC for the same. i know they will hold my case till i send my wife's detail. It is really frustrating waiting so long wish they could be little faster so that i can go and marry her after my PR done :(

That was AOR I submitted few days ago ...

Hey Aman,
My application was received by CIO on April 23rd. I wanted to ask you submitted application on April 22 or it is date for AOR? Pls share

I also got the request just for me ...
Ideally they send separate emails for separate requests so i did fingerprints only for me, no for my spouse. I am still waiting on that.

I think If you have a copy of your certificate send them in the email and send the copy in mail too .. just to be on safer side.

What I am doing is getting them mailed to myself first. That way I can have a copy of it and more control over it. I don;t want to risk it on RCMP if they fail to post it for some reason.
Secondly, When you post it you might track it and in case its not received you may send again.

Personally I would also send them in email before posting it :).
