I don't think we would be in process until November. the reason being is that still applicants who applied after 20 December are waiting to get in process. long time to go from here now. :'( :'(.

I am planning to book my ticket to back home in december. if i get the passport request while i am there. I will get it stamp there and return back to canada in March 8) 8) 8) 8)

I'm no time line guru, but as far as I could understand from this forum we are supposed to expect "In Process" in September/October, not "Decision Made".

The reason is that February applicants are getting their application "In Process" in August. That said, March applicants should get it in September and April applicants in October.

Keep in mind that this is no science: plenty of December applicants are yet to get "In Process".

We are in the middle of the summer/school recess so many officials are more likely out on holidays as well.

Again: no science! We're just assuming things considering the facts reported in this forum.

Hey Surrey100 !

yes it is very much possible. i have confirmed with both ottawa office and high commission of canada in India.
if you get a passport request from ottawa, you can ask them to transfer your case to your nearby VFS location in India. Then you can submit your passport along with the confirmation letter from ottawa.

VFS will only take 2 weeks to give your passport back with the stamp and the fee is 560 rupees

Dear Applicant,

Should you receive a Ready for Visa letter when you are out of the country there are instructions in the letter as to what to do in order to get your PR documents issued overseas. This can be arranged as long as there is enough time for them to issue them before you need to return to Canada.

I am Dec 23 applicant still waiting for IN PROCESS .There are so many applicants from dec 20 to Jan 20waiting for IP. Last december applicant turned IP on August 2 Afterthat nothing]
