You can consider remarking.

I am 40 yr old software architect with 15 yrs experience.

My points are L-7.5, R- 9, S-7, W-6.5

I took only one practise test as i regarded it as easy as TOEFFL

probably cost 4 questions in listening when i was surprised by the map questions where i could have done with practise.

i doubt writing will improve much as i had the worst handwriting in school and they will be biased against that. Not much i can do further on speaking either

is it good enough to go with the immigration application?

You meet the minimum criteria but it depends how long you are willing to wait for an ita. You would lose a lot of points for your age so you have to compensate for it with a good language score if you want to increase your CRS.

I got my desired score on the 5th attempt due to overconfidence thinking I could nail it because English is my first language. I was wrong. Getting a CLB9+ requires consistent practice. Your score clearly explains that you assumed that TOELF and IELTS were the same and that you didn't care to get the format correct the first time. If you need to improve your language, first work on that and then work on getting the concept right. There are lots of books and practice tests available.

My first time on Ielts, btw, I'd like to share my CELPIP and Ielts for anyone curious :'(

IELTS

Listening
7.5
Reading
7.0
Writing
6.0
Speaking
6.0

CELPIP

Listening
8.0
Reading
10.0
Writing
8.0
Speaking
7.0

I don't know should I retake which one if the 57th draw increases the mark

History repeats:

My score: LRWS: 8.5 8.5 6.5 8.5

Fifth time.

I traveled other side of earth but nothing changed...
Feeling Sad.

But Fine!!!

Only thing changed is speaking score changed from 7/7.5 to 8.5

Yeah. But heard that re-marking takes around 4 weeks to complete.

If I were you I would go for reval and do the test simultaneously.
Listening screwed me up badly... Only 0.5 miss, which is 1-2 wrong answers. Sigh...

ANYONE WHO SAT FOR THE IELTS TEST ON THE 4th MARCH, 2017?

HAVE YOU GOT YOUR RESULTS?

BATH CENTRE ARE STILL WAITING.... NOT SURE IF THIS ISSUES AFFECTS OTHER AREAS AS WELL.

JUST ANXIOUS AS I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING.

THANKS TONS

please dont do that. focus on all the modules equally as they are all equally important. in December, my 3rd attempt, I got 8.5 in speaking, 8 in listening and writing and 6.5 in reading. i thought reading was my weakness and focused on reading. my reading score increased and all the other dropped.

please dont be overconfident. treat all sections equally. be alert, concentrate and practice.

Thanks Mate for advice. I am planning to book again on 8th April.

If you are prepared to wait 6-8 weeks then try remarking the writing.

Ahh..really...you're tempting me go for it! I do have that urge to go for the re-checking but it takes 6-8 weeks. I have already booked the test for 25th march.
