Your oath is well before your travel date of 3rd so I don’t see why you should postpone the oath. You can definitely get your passport before your travel date as well, provided you have everything ready to go. You can go in to apply for your passport on the 22nd, choose express (2-9 business days). You will have your passport in time for your travels.

My wife's application suddenly leapt forward late last week after no updates since AoR. BG, Prohibitions and Presence all complete. She's exempt due to age for the test and Language but they're showing as not started and in progress for some reason.

It was guess work earlier - based on the available dates on their website. However, I called not too long ago and it was confirmed to be virtual.
Some people prefer in person and ask for a change from virtual. I got a virtual ceremony , attended it and it was great and convenient. The important thing is attaining the status of a Canadian citizen and eventually getting your Canadian passport.

Guys any insights about LPP. Language was complete on 27th August. Does that mean it'll be a long wait for prohibitions and Physical presence. I usually noticed LPP turn green at the same time. Is it a non-routine?

Most look like they all complete at the same time. I was interested when I saw your post the other day that only the Language was completed as that was strange in comparison.
Mine (LPP) all changed to complete today and I am waiting on oath now.

Do you know intill what stag we can travel on our country's passport ?
And do we have to inform to IRCC if we travel abroad ?

You can travel out of Canada at any time on your other (non-Canadian) passport. Canadian citizens must board planes to Canada using their Canadian passport (exception for US citizens).

So - do whatever you want, but once you become a citizen, you'll need your Canadian passport to board a flight back to Canada.

Hi All,
Reposting this. Unfortunately there is no change and i am still waiting for the oath invite.
Everything marked complete since June 20, 2025, but still waiting for an oath invite. I also called IRCC, and they informed me that everything is complete and only the oath is pending. They said our file is with the ceremony team to schedule an in-person oath, but I’m not sure why there is a delay.
Is anyone else from Oakville (or GTA) experiencing similar delays? Is there anything I can do to follow up?

Thanks, I got a feeling that IRCC is not really happy with people calling to check on their progress. I called because I have a trip planned for October and I had to make a decision ASAP on whether I can make it or not, and I told them I've heard the info IRCC sees might be different from what I see, hoping I'll hear LPP is done in which case I would still commit to my trip. The agent got a little bit upset and said no we see exactly what you see and you shouldn't believe what people say online. Ironically, he told me LPP shows not started on his side while it showed in progress on my side, proving my point.

I think if they want to have people stop calling them, they should make sure the tracker is consistent and sufficient. I'm hoping it will be in the future, IRCC's tools have improved a lot over the past 10 years and is much better than most countries, but again, these applications are big changes for a lot of applicants and they need to be able to plan around the timing.

I wish everyone in this forum good luck and hope you all get updates soon.
I think IRCC see same system like us. Maybe they see update little earlier because portal refresh later. Sometimes different department update system, then portal show after 1–2 days. So they not see different, just little ahead.

Hi guys.. Tracker updated today 29 Aug
language complete
Prohibitions and Physical presence still in progress
Aor 1 May
BG 8 May
Test June 6
Looks like it might be a longer wait for me.
Can someone update the tracker please!
  • After background check finish, LPP time can be 7 days to 4 months, depend on office.
  • Sydney, NS usually take 2–3 month. Some office finish in 2 weeks only. I see many files done 10 days after background.
  • If background complete, physical presence meet threshold, English requirement done, and no prohibition, then just matter of time.
  • IRCC will inform if there is any problem. No need to worry if above conditions are ok.
and in case you do not know your processing office then see in the Left bottom corner in the AOR pdf file you might have received from IRCC
