Now for the annoying part... I am in Italy from the 2th - 15th September with my fiancé getting married... we had a feeling this would happen. We will have to reschedule and take the long wait!
@armoured - do you know the best way to request a reschedule on the Oath?

Congrats! I’m in a somewhat similar situation. I have a feeling I might be invited to the oath ceremony right around my planned travel at the end of September. It’s going to be a tough call—whether to cancel the trip or postpone the oath. The tricky part is that postponing comes with no certainty about when they might reschedule it!

Congratulations on the oath and your wedding! You may be lucky and have it rescheduled within a few weeks.

That being said, just hit reply when you get the oath invitation and make the subject ‘Citizenship Oath - Out of Canada’ then fill the body as of the email with details of your trip and when you will return to Canada. They will reschedule to a date after your return date.

I'd love to be able to just do the Oath, but unfortunately , the future wife might not be to impressed with the idea lol.
Way to much planning has gone into this over the past 2 years.

Personally, if it was a vacation, i'd probably try to reschedule.

I just read online that you should try and submit the reschedule 30 days before your oath date. The preferred method in replying to the invitation email, however you can also submit a web form.
The issue with web form, is it asks for the office, location, & date + time of the oath, and I am unsure on all of these details asides from the date...

What part of Toronto are you? Scarborough office typically handles oath for people in the eastern end of the GTA while Mississauga handles west. So if you are in Downtown, Markham, North York, Scarborough, Pickering and so on, I’d raise a webform to the Scarborough office. If you’re in Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville and Burlington, I will raise the webform to the Mississauga office.

My advice would be for you to wait for the oath email though, then reply to it with the subject I mentioned earlier. Good luck!

Below excerpts from IRCC website says email to download e-certificate is usually sent before the e-mail for oath invitation. But I only got oath invitation e-mail . Any similar experience ?​

If you choose to get an e-certificate, we’ll email you an instruction letter that explains how to download the e-certificate. We usually send the instructions before the ceremony invitation. Keep this email so you can refer to it after the ceremony.

Just wait. They don't come at exact same time. Almost every post here worried about not getting this email ends with ... the person getting the email with no additional action, usually well before the ceremony, a few cases just after.

Yes, it would be better if it was more predictable and consistent, and no, no-one outside IRCC knows why it's not.

Bottom line is still: not something to worry about.

I am yet to receive this, but have oath in the tracker and know I need to reschedule.
