Anyone have any Idea about when the file remains in central intake office of Sydney. Is it means Background check process starts or not? And is Sydney office is slowest one in processing PR? Will be appreciated if someone help with more information

That's not even a thing. Your application's status depends on your case processing officer, not VO. You can have the same VO, but have a status started/completed/paused/etc.

About slow or fast, every VO has been called slow or fast - so that's not a thing. Some VOs specialize in different cases, and if you have one of those case types, your processing time can be wildly different. I forgot, but either of Sydney or Etobicoke seem to be taking the caseload for a large number of fraud marriage investigations within EE - as an example, if your case is flagged in that category, you'll have a significantly longer wait time. Very little to do with the VO and we know very little about internal processing of these VOs to say anything.

This has been a part of Marc Miller's past talks. He said better visibility and even faster processing times are something to be expected in the future. No one knows if he'll follow through as the immigration is no longer been seen as a good thing in Canada and pretty sure people won't appreciate more costs and resource being diverted towards immigration now.

If your UCI number is UCIXXX, you should be able to create a tracker account by now.

If yours is no longer a CANXXX number and is now a UCIXXX for more than 3 days, it could either now be:
1. you are entering your details wrong in the PR tracker while signing up, happens way more than you think. Browse the forum to see common mistakes and see if you are making one of them.
2. IRCC haven't really updated your details yet. If this is the case, nothing can be done except waiting.

Do you get any update in your account my one also showing we did not received your fingerprint from 2nd may. But in biometrics enrolment it showing biometric done on 2nd may.Raised two webform and then called IRCC. Representative told to wait until the dealing office sent us any new instruction.

Hi we are still in same boat too. Biometrics done April 24 and still it shows fingerprints not received but all information can be seen in biometrics enrolment box. Sent web form to ircc and they confirmed fingerprints are received and confirmed on call too . Our background still in progress since after biometrics got done. No updates at all

Does anyone know how are last landing date decided? I mean my medical expires in dec 2024 and im still waiting for final decison on my application from ircc. Is the last landing date when the medical expires or we get overall 6 months ?
