When did you get the oath invite?

It will be 1 year for me March 25.

On the bright side - My wife and daughter applied later via Paper in July, had their oath in January and got the passports in January itself.

I just thought online will be faster and let me apply online since I became eligible 4 months before others in the family, but that proved to be the worst decision, could have just waited and applied together. But I never thought that time Paper will be faster than online based on conventional logic.

I have been kicking myself because I applied online, even though I got everything ready to go for traditional paper application. :(
I can apply for urgent processing because I need to travel by the end of September and cannot delay or postpone that trip.
Happy for your wife and daughter. Congrats. Hope things move along for all who are waiting but this wait is nerve wrecking. Good luck the rest of the way to all who are waiting.

Same for me (except my family application is also pending but they're definitely ahead of me in the process)

Hello guys, can someone confirm if during the ceremony (virtually) do I need to present my Permanent Resident Card AND Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM5292 or IMM5688) OR just one of them?

Did your wife apply in person at a passport center / service Canada for her passport or did she mail in her application ? Thank you :)

They asked me to just present PR card and other ID for example driving license.

If you have PR card (even expired), they don't ask for CoPR, but it is wise to keep it handy in case they ask.

I just got a ghost update on my portal. Maybe I am going to get the Citizenship Ceremony request. I am going to travel in the early week of April. So does anyone know what can I do in this kind of situation? Apply for canadian passport right away or see if I can postpone my ceremony

if you can't postpone your trip, you will have to postpone (date change) your ceremony

We just went in person to the passport center in Whitby. It took just one hour for the whole process and then they got the passport in 7 days. SLA for in person applications are now just 10 business days and for mail in applications, it's 20 business days.

Finally done and it's been really helpful to have this forum. Thank you, everyone!
