They are scheduling. My wife received oath email on 8th May (she and my kids are May 30th 2022 applicants) and her oath is scheduled for May 31st.

Really hope we are going to be with the next scheduling batch for June. I am actually surprised they replied to my email which they have never done in the past

My tracker is now updated with Oath Date, May 29th, Its just about 2 weeks away, no email , and I Just came to India 1 week ago ! Its a Mess, but I do not mind being in this mess if it means no more stressful and tearful days !

Wife had her interview on May 9th, tracker updated to LPP complete on May 11th, expecting the interview invite to come soon. Looks like SCR office is now in a rush!

i got the email today too.... in person in Mississauga:)
Are you on May 21st as well? Seems like we would be at the same place

Been in read-only mode for this thread, but can anyone confirm what happens after the oath ceremony? How long does it take to receive the passport? Is it sent to you automatically, or do you have to pay for it?
I saw somewhere either on the IRCC website or my tracker login page (cant seem to find it) that they are processing application for application sent in March 8, 2022. So i believe that's why most ppl here are getting updates.

Takes about 2 weeks after oath to get the citizenship certificate. Once you get the certificate, you can apply for the passport separately ($160 for a 10 year passport).

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have a trip planned for July, I assume you can't travel with the certificate right?
In addition, do they also ask you to destroy your PR in the ceremony?

Yes and yes.
If you have a confirmed travel date and tickets, you can apply to fast track your passport application - comes with additional cost though.

You can travel with the certificate through the land border (assuming you have the visa for the other country on your old passport). The airlines won't let you board for Canada with it.

So basically you can fly to the US if you have the US visa on your old passport, and then cross over the land border into Canada using your citizenship certificate.

Good to know, thanks guys. There is a 'next day' passport option to apply (cost $110) so that is good.

The long and short if it is, I am planning to visit UK & FR (booked flight and hotel) and read it took 15 days to process the visa's to go there; but it requires to go through VSGlobal which you literally can't get an appointment for a visa application. So I am kinda screwed, so I am banking on some lifeline for this to go through before June 30.

Anyways, I won't derail this thread but I will share my updates once I hear back on LPP or Oath.

Thanks again.
