Hi can we apply for open work permit once we have submitted the spousal sponsorship and if we are on a visiting visa?

Are you inland or out? If inland it should have been submitted the same time as the PR app, if outland you do not qualify for an OWP.

They said work load an China vo helping out with eligibility of the applicant. After eligibility is pass local visa office will make the last decision on your file

Guys , I received PPR email finally after 2 months waiting since Biometrics.
Ottawa Visa Office.
Applicant is from India.
Here is my timeline

application recieved - 6 March 2020
Aor - 10 OCT 2020
SA - 11 OCT 2020
BIometrics Request - 12 OCT 2020
Medical request - 13 OCT 2020
medical passed - 22 NOV 2020
Biometrics done - 13 Jan 2021
Decision made - 5 Feb 2021
PPR - 19 March 2021

I scroll through this forum everyday and I know , a lot of people are waiting and probably frustrated and anxious.

good god, what next? call after you get pr card to confirm whether it's original? just send your passport already and chill

Note: PPR email was sent to Principal applicant's email even though Sponsor was marked as PA's representative. So, guys keep an eye out both emails.

received PPR today. What is the process to schedule the pickup with VFS India and process the visa stamping?

While biometrics was done at the VFS they gave a preforma and asked to fill that form on receiving the ppr request. The instructions were given in the form. If you havnt received the preforma you can share your ppr request email and passport copy along with the receipt received on payment of biometrics received from VFS to this email id

Happened to me, too. Mostly papers transferred to Ottawa got this. Glitch maybe?

Hello everyone, I'm Sri Lankan national and currently living in Canada as a permanent resident. I sent Sponsorship application on March 9th 2020 to bring my wife here. I got AOR on 16th of October 2020 saying that they hace received the application. When i called them, one of the agents told me still in background check, i don't know what that's mean. The application still in Canada.Until now i did not get any other updates. Does anyone know why it's taking so long?

Have u linked ur file to online account?? You might see some updates there. Also try calling them again as it seems like processing time is already over.
