I wouldn't recommend waiting for VFS to open and then going for the medical test as medical test results will impact the processing of your application (and Decision made status) once your file is transferred to the VO. You should get the medical tests done without much delay.Hello- I am sponsoring my wife from India and have received medical and biometrics request [March 2020 applicant]. I am waiting for VFS to open before getting the BIO or med tests [as she needs to travel to another city for both]. Would this [waiting to get medical tests done] impact the processing timeline ? Is there a next step that depends on us completing the medical exams ?
They are now responding to Sep 2019 and before that. 1 year I guess,, NDVO is notorious for delays.Any idea!
File moved to New Delhi Visa Office on 23rd Oct.
When and what do I expect for the next step ?
Thank you
Indeed great news! Looks like they are seriously working to come up with a re-opening plan. Let's hope they announce it soonGood news for PA from India!

In my world if no AOR then file can still be sent back. Agents sometimes don’t give the correct information unfortunatelyI am March 25th applicant and still didn’t receive anything from IRCC. I got the temp number few weeks back when I called and nothing since. I called to IRCC today to check the apps status and I’ve been advised that my application was checked for completeness in October and I should receive the AOR soon. Is this normal? I thought the AOR is sent as soon as the completeness is confirmed. Does that mean that my application will not be return?
Im also MARCH 25th applicant and was told exact same thing that as of Oct 1st, my documents are completed and should be getting AOR within 2 weeks. Biometrics is not a pass or fail item. They have acknowledged receipt as you have said. You are fine. How do you know the biometrics have passed? My spouse had the biometrics done on October 14th 2020, the GCKey was updated on the 15th with the Biometrics enrollment date of the 14th. Does this mean the biometrics has passed?
