Hello. My application was delivered on March 06. When other people from March 06 started receiving AOR last month I was hopeful mine would arrive soon after. I was heartbroken when applicants from late March received AORs and I hadn’t heard anything. I reached out to my MP, who was very kind and provided a temporary file number. Every day I called the IRCC help line to check the status of the file. The automated message would confirm my file was received on March 06, and say they would update me if there were any changes. As time passed, I became very discouraged and afraid the file was returned.
Yesterday, I called the IRCC line and found that the automated message had changed. Instead of saying I would be contacted with any updates, it said my application was under review and they were processing my partners background check. Today I finally received AOR.
A few weeks ago another user posted an encouraging message about receiving an AOR for March 2nd. I found some hope that was previously lost in reading their post, so I hope this helps March applicants who are still waiting to hear from IRCC.

If you are submitting it as additional document then submit as scanned copy through web form. If you are submitting document first time then original
Outland cases that are considered easier are often moved to Mississauga/Ottawa while more complex cases go to local visa offices (i.e. dependants, extensive travel histories, prior marriages, etc).
I don’t think so ... my application is straight forward and not complicated.... still went to local visa office.....

Biometric Request Letter: 20th October 2020
Medical Request: 21st October 2020
Sponsor Approval: 23rd October 2020
waiting for AOR2 and so on . . . .
so the medical exam arrived one day after the biometric. tomorrow i have my biometric appointment. i have traveled to do it. do you think i should stay a couple of days to not travel twice?
That depends on your discretion.
As biometric will be in VAC/ VFS and medical will be clinic/ hospital. Both have up to 90 days to submit (and it could be extended).
Just FYI
There are some applicants who still haven't got medical request and their SA has completed. So , sorry can't suggest you with this.

My MP provided temporary file number. I called the IRCC phone number, after 2:50 intro message I dialed 1-1-2-3 then entered application number, then enter applicants year of birth, select 1 to receive application status.
Applicants who received AOR before medical exam request- when you link your application and view “Details about your application status” does it say that you need a medical exam?
My page says I do not need a medical exam, and I want to understand if this appears for everyone at first and changes once the medical exam request is received.
