Yes I sent the latest NoA today. I didnt know until today that you could send documents using temporary application number through web form.
They send the application through mail and sometimes even inform you over email. I had to literally message them and ask them about an update on my application and thats when they informed me that they returned my application. And it arrived in sponsors mail in 2days after that
That just means someone else is in the google document and has their cursor on that cell. Nothing harmful.
Our lawyer asked us to remove the cover letter before submitting the application,however in form IMM 5532e we forgot to delete the line stating more information is attached in the cover letter suplemented (Question No 11. Is there more information you wish to share to support your relationship?)
Will this harm my application, or can it be returned for the missing cover letter.We have received temporary file number a few days ago.

It won't hurt to either send a web form stating that you decided not to provide an additional letter or attach the letter itself.
The additional letter is not required, it is mainly if you believe there is important information not covered in the rest of the application. Presumably your lawyer felt it was not necessary, but up to you. If you do provide such a letter, try to keep it factual.
Its very scared that they are returning files after 7 months without processing and making excuses that missing documents even they said in lockdown days no file would return because of Missing documents during covid we will provide them extra time to submit missing documents. They are just reducing their work load to send the files back.
