In my application history, it says as below. But I have not received any email notice yet.

Does CIC send it via email ?

I am afraid if I deleted the email from spam etc.

Hi, you were with the Halifax office right? I was hoping you to receive an oath date after web form maybe I’ll submit one too. Did you send an email to MP, how can we know the contact details of the MP?

Hey, yes I am with Hfx office. Web form didn't work for me. I sent an email to the MP and that's when I got the DM. For now, the oath is not started and waiting since Aug 11. I did a webform to see if I can get the oath, but no luck.. so just waiting since Aug 11.

In order to find your MP, just google for the location and MP (e.g., current MP for Dartmouth) and you will see the name and email.

I will again reach out to my MP after this week as I am just waiting to finish a month since I got my DM.

April 23rd last update and background cleared on January 20th. Since , nothing.
I lost any hope as patient is gone long time ago.

Same situation as you. Background completed and nothing since then.

I received my Citizenship test invite today. I am scheduled for - September 17, 2021 - October 7, 2021.
I will update again once I take the test.

Quick question regarding the test. How would you rate the test? Easy or hard? I have started studying but I am worried.

Really depends on how hard you study. But for the most part, I think the questions are straightforward with maybe two-four being trickier .. good luck!

No, it seems its clear that our category "subsection 5(1)" is not included in it.
I was having same argument with @rajkamalmohanram and others earlier and they told above reason but i was not believing it by referring this very link/announcement few months back but after I found out that the communication from cic offices to come and attend which is mentioned clearly in the invite.

I am not a legal guy hence i cant confirm/deny if there is law allowing(even if there is some other reference link) but cic is not currently allowing for our subsection. So it doesnt matter for now. One has to come inside to attend oath.

We have seen that cic can even dig up parent's citizenship qualification too on legitimacy hence looks like they can really go back decades to verify things. So none of us want to try attending from outside till we receive communication from cic saying "we can attend oath from outside".

Neither easy, nor hard.
Full time study: You may study in few days to a week.
Part time study: you may not complete studying in a week. I could not as i was full of confusion with dates and names in the first week. I got much clearer in second week and after giving multiple online mockup tests.
