Does applying for GCMS notes delay the current application? Or does it nudge the IRCC agent to take a look at your file and maybe see what's causing the delay?

Does applying for GCMS notes delay the current application? Or does it nudge the IRCC agent to take a look at your file and maybe see what's causing the delay?
From my experience, it doesn't do jack shit. You cannot influence their incompetence in anyway apart from waiting and hoping for the best.

My status got changed to DM in ECAS ( I guess on 25th July 2021) and all status are in Complete (30th June and test on 5th July) except Oath. However my wife's Citizenship Test status is still in progress. She passed exam on 1st July 2021. Rest every section is already marked complete on her profile too on 30th June 2021 except Test & Oath.
Is anyone having similar situation?

Did you receive "oath letter" via email or are you talking about the oath notification the status dashboard? Generally, you'll only receive the "oath letter" via email about a week or two before the ceremony date.

Hello, I just got an update on the application showing all sections as complete except the oath ceremony, status still shows as in progress though...

I don't know if that helps, but a friend of mine who was on the same boat suggested submitting an enquiry online form asking about the application status application, I did that yesterday and my tracker was updated today... he did the same last week and his tracker was updated as well... Maybe a simple nudge will help..

Yessssssssssssss! Just checked Oath Ceremony scheduled for November 29th
I was hoping to get DM by the end of the year, but based on this pace, I think it's more realistic to expect it by the end of the 1st quarter of 2022. I am not sure why Quebec has one office. Many applicants apply from Montreal, the 2nd largest city in Canada. It just doesn't make sense
Yah, it's unfortunate.. I guess it was better pre-covid..
yah, I guess end of this year and early next year is probably more realistic...
