AOR received: 10th March, 2020
Background verification: Completed on 20th Jan, 2021
Language skills: In progress
Physical presence: In progress
Prohibitions: In progress
Citizenship test: Not started
Citizenship ceremony: Not started

No further update after this. Its been almost 1.5 years, I called cic, asked for gcms notes but nothing fruitful. I know some friends who are struggling as well, any one else here in the same boat? Please let me know as its getting frustrating now :/

Whats your location? Track your location's timeline(, the month they currently process).
Calling call center is as good as not calling at all. Even gcms will give more information than call center, most of the time.

I am in the exact same boat...Application submitted March 16th, 2020, background check completed on April 28 2021....no other items moved forward

Both of you can submit your separate applications online (individually) if you want to.

But this isn't the right thread to ask that question. A more appropriate thread would be the general thread for Citizenship application discussion OR the thread specific to the month you are applying in (July 2021 thread if you are planning to apply in July).

Nope, still waiting for that golden day when they will start doing their work. If I get it by this century, I will feel lucky am sure.

In the same boat. Background verification was updated to "Completed" on 20 Jan 2021. Rest still showing "In Progress" and Citizenship test "Not Started". Super frustrating.

I am in Montreal, Canada and if I check cic, they still show files from May 2019 are being processed, if we go by that it will take a lot more time which isnt ideal. Yea gcms notes have nothing extra which I dont know already.

i can't believe my eyes but it finally changed to decision made! it doesn't say what the decision is though.

Also, everything has been set to complete today (language skills, physical presence, prohibitions), except citizenship ceremony still says not started.

What is the next step now? Is it going to be the same long wait until something else happens?

Mississauga, Ontario. Ordered my GCMS notes but that may as well be in Greek cos I can't glean any useful information from it.

The next step is being scheduled for oath! Timeline varies but give it a couple of months (might happen sooner than that though).

I know. Cant wait to it. Its really exhausting. Not long than the wait we had for the test but anywhere from few days to weeks to few months, as usual unpredictable but DM is major relief as end is near.
