They seem to be working on 2019 applications still. I don’t think that anybody from 2020 got the online test.

I recall one person reporting that a friend of his/hers received test invite and IRCC had received his/her application in Jan 2020.

But yes, most applicants getting test invites now are 2019 applicants. Early 2020 applicants might start seeing a sizable number of invites in the second quarter this year.

Congrats... Did you apply for urgent processing?

Yes, I have a confirmed job offer subject to citizenship. Only thing is it has taken too long for the application to process and meanwhile, Covid had drowned the economy.

Can you please let me know if you received directly email from IRCC last month when you wrote the test.? I assumed yours is also Urgent Processing as I notice from the tracker.

IRCC tried to reach me and I missed answering the phone.. they sent the following e-mail.

Good day MR. XXXX,

We have received your request for urgent processing for your citizenship file.

We have tried to contact you by phone at (XXX) XXX-XXX to know if you are available for a citizenship test and an interview with a citizenship officer.

Please confirm if you are currently in Canada.

Also if you can specify when is the best time to reach you so we can confirm some details with you.

If you are not in Canada currently, let us know when you plan to return.

I received an email. No calls. Just an email.

I sent them the requested documents and asked them to acknowledge that they have received the documents (file sizes were 3MB and 2.8MB so I was concerned). They responded the next day and acknowledged receipt of the documents, so I now have peace of mind.

@itwillbegood For urgent processing, is a job offer required, or just applying for a job which requires being a citizen suffices?

The requirements are not clear on urgent processing. But i read in this forum that someone requested urgent processing based on a federal job offer and IRCC gave his hiring manager a call to verify.

There have been issues with AOR lately because of some glitch in their system. If you've submitted your application in August, your application may very well be in process.

You might want to call them and ask them for your file # and they'll give it to you.

PS : Next time, please post the question in the relevant thread. This thread is for March 2020 applicants.
