Yesterday I got my oath virtual ceremony invite for august 31 at 8:30am. Please update tracker

Where do I go to change my address before they mail out my citizenship card?

There isn't a Citizenship "Card" anymore - it was discontinued in 2012. I think you mean the citizenship certificate.

The quickest way to update the address would be to call IRCC call center and get it done over the phone. I've seen reports that people who change address online - it takes several weeks.

Quick question... Sorry for my ignorance...

I understand that you'll get an advance notice for 2 weeks about your oath taking.

I'm seeing oath taking dates more than a few months later. Like it's August now but I see some November ones.

Are we given more than 2 months of available dates?

(P.S. Once I receive one, the sooner the better approach given their slow speed in processing our applications. I just don't understand why some may have to wait for a couple more months).

Do you know if they take PO box for mailing address or does it have to be residential address?

PO Box is accepted for mailing. I have it.

That I'm not sure about. You can call IRCC and check with them or ask the clerk at the ceremony.

I am just wondering how many more March 2020 applicants are still waiting for their tests.

I applied on March 4th, 2020; AOR on Aug 23. 2020; In Process on November 25, 2020; Background check completed on January 15, 2021. I live in Toronto.

I have a friend in Toronto who applied in March 2021 and AOR in May 2021. She just got an email today asking her to take the test.

I am just wondering what can I do about my application as I have been waiting for so long already. I tried contacting the call centre about my application and every time I call they always say that the background check has been completed and that it is test ready.

Unfortunately you can’t do much until your office invites you… though, I think you’d get an invitation soon

I am not sure if this helps but my application moved after I submitted an online enquiry.. yours is more than 15 months so you can submit a status update request

The OP is trying to apply for an urgent Canadian passport. Your current passport expiry isn't a valid (or logical) reason for expediting Canadian Citizenship certificate. Its okay if your current passport is not valid during the ceremony.

I guess I am not clear about the relation between the passport(home country) expiry date and the Canadian passport. What would be a valid reason to need a Canadian passport urgently?

Mine is already expired since March 2021, have you tried to email them to process the certificate asap?

Thanks for the reply. My citizenship ceremony status is `not started` so I haven`t have an oath date yet. But I was worried about applying for a new passport for my home country while waiting for the oath ceremony invite, because it will take minimum 10 days to receive the new passport and in the meantime, if they invite for the oath ceremony I wouldn`t have my passport. I believe we are supposed to bring our current passport to the oath ceremony? Why do they need the current passport in oath ceremony, is oath ceremony like an interview? I thought it is to take the oath only and a ceremony to celebrate it

There is no need for passport for the oath ceremony if you have other IDs. Check (rajkamalmohanram)Raj's oath letter for the document/ID list. Its not interview. If its interview then they will call it as "oath interview".

Please update spreadsheet. Finally, after almost two months of waiting. I have been schedule for oath ceremony on Sep 03, 2021, Just updated today. Not sure what documents do we need during oath. How long does it take to get the citizenship certificate after oath?

Well reasons for Urgent / Express Canadian passport would be travel outside Canada. At this time, they are requesting proof of travel (tickets) showing the travel dates in order to accept urgent/express processing of passport.
