@legalfalcon , I have just received my remed request. And was about to get married in june.
Cor: India

My question is,
1. Are copr still valid till medical validity i.e. 1 year? (i.e is this same in every country considering covid situation)
2. For e.g If I get my medical on apr 2022, I can fly till the last month of medical/copr validity(i.e. i can fly till mar 2023 in this case?

Thanks for your advice
@legalfalcon can you please help with these queries

Hi there. My AOR is March 2020 (post 18th March). I recently got married to a canadian citizen and am waiting for my pr. However, day by day I am losing hope with regards to the processing of my application and am looking for alternative means to reach canada to live with my spouse. Basis the last conversation with ircc, security is pending and medicals have expired with no remedical request received so far. Visitors visa seems like an option but with high chances of rejection. Can anyone please recommend/suggest what I should do in this scenario? Should I apply for any other visa or should I wait it out? Thanks for your time

@legalfalcon would appreciate your response too. Thanks

Keep little bit more patience. You will get something within the next couple of months. I am March 29 AOR. The same security not started issue.
By the way, with PR application in process and spouse inland, any TR application will be hard to get (although nothing wrong with trying, no effect on PR application).

Thanks for this. Waiting for the pr seems like the best option so far. I believe security processing should not take too much time. Let's hope for the best

If you have another 1k then you do have an option of going for spousal sponsorship concurrently. Current processing time is 8 months. But most likely you would hear something sooner.

If your wife is a Canadian citizen, there is no way they’l reject your visitor visa

Can we have both, an FSW O application and spousal sponsorship ongoing at the same time though?

You are getting wrong advices. IRCC clearly states if your application is in progress and if your circumstances change like Marriage or Birth of Child, you need to update IRCC via Webform.

Hi All,

please can someone kindly tell me how to fill the Additional Family information form (IMM5406)? IRCC says the form is for me and my spouse to fill. Does this mean we should submit two separate forms for that? (One for my spouse and the other for me). If so, whose name would go under the ‘Applicant’ in his own form? My spouse’s name or mine? I’m a bit confused there and was hoping to get some help here from people who’re more experienced in this than I’m.
Secondly, IRCC has created two links on my profile to upload the requested documents. Both links have the same name: Replacement needed: ‘Kit, Application forms’.
Would one of them be for me and then the other for my spouse?

PS: I’m the principal applicant and I’m adding my spouse to my file.

Hi @legalfalcon

I have a question for you: What else can be done? My application still stuck in Criminality and security checks. Both are in progress still, everythingelseis passed . It will be 2y in coming March. I called immgration today and they have no answer for me, only patience (just waite). While ppl who apply after me are permanentresident(my coworker applied in September 2021 got her PR and received her PR card today).

From your experience in the matter; what else can be done?. I don't want to keep renewing my work visa, losing promotion, benefits at work cuz i am still on work visa!. Any advice? . Thank you for your time.
