I received a survey email on April 1th. However, I called the Immigration on April 2ed and they said still in progress?. I am confused, who else received a survey email and his application is approved?.

((You have been selected to take part in a Government of Canada survey!

We would like to hear about your experience with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. Our records indicate that you have recently received a decision from us on an application.

The survey is voluntary and will take about 15 minutes to complete.))

I just hang up with Immigration ans he tells me that my criminal and security are in progress!!!!. Woow 1 year and 2 weeks still waiting
I am in the same situation (security is not even started) and I had a call last week with an agent about it. She explained that probably everything is completed and they are just waiting for an officer to pick up the file and update the status.

Dear @legalfalcon,
I have received remedical request for my PR application. Now I am in India due to emergency and my TRV also in process without that I can’t re-enter in Canada. So I will have to do my medical from India. Do I need to inform IRCC that I am out of country due to this this reason? If yes, Can I do my medical before raising webform and there reply? What would you suggest?

if anyone else also in same situation or have some inputs please share.Thank you in advance.

You can get your medicals from any country. There is no restriction and after you get your medical exam, send the upfront sheet to IRCC via webform.

Also, if you intend to be in India for a long time, you have to inform the change of country of residence. However, if you are traveling back to Canada soon, you do not need to change your country of residence.

@legalfalcon Thanks for your reply. I am waiting for my visa stamping as soon as I get that will travel back to Canada. Just my one question is as will do medical here in India. When the physician panel will send report to IRCC won’t they come to know that I did medical test from India and this applicant didn’t inform about travel to IRCC. My fear is it should not negatively impact on my application. Please advise.

There is no obligation for you to inform IRCC of any travel. The only obligation is when you change your address or move to another country, i.e. change of country of residence you have to inform IRCC.

As regards your presence in Canada, that is recorded electronically when you leave or enter Canada at any port of entry. So IRCC is already aware of whether your are in Canada or not.

Hi there,
My case is on LMIA based FSW Outland EE application and later applicant settled inland working, but with dependents Outland.

GCMS shows all passed & final “approved” assigned to “COVID RFV” group... file last updated (to “approved”) in Oct 2020. Not an IT or software NOC (sadly) & Ottawa VO (even more sad)......

IRCC says in the phone (when I called the hotline), that my case was “affected by pandemic travel restrictions”, I wonder if things can get quicker if travel restrictions no longer apply to me, e.g. getting my dependents here as well...

My question: Would my case be prioritized if
  • my dependents also come to Canada (as we will be “exempt from travel restrictions” therein), OR
  • It doesn’t matter whether they are inland or not, all FSW won’t proceed unless wide travel restrictions are lifted... @legalfalcon Thanks!!

Is it just me receiving strange webform responses that are saying further info is required to access your file? They then go on to ask you to include all the same information you already included in your original web form such as name, date of birth, country of birth, e-mail address etc

Me too. I’m thinking because of the ‘hold groups’ they placed Jan-May applications, web form group cannot access our files?
