@legalfalcon could you help me know what could be the possible reasons for security not starting since June 2020
COR: India , AOR: Mar 20

As per CBSA report:

Eligibility: Passed
Security: Not Started
Criminality: Passed
Medical: Passed
Info Sharing: Complete

There are many application that are pending and in the same situation as you. The only reason is that the security has to be initiated by IRCC by transmitting a request to National Security Screening Division at CBSA. If this has not been done then the security screening would not initiate.

Another reason could be that the security screening has been initiated, but it has not yet been updated in your file. You can send a webform to IRCC and inquire.

Hello friends,

My applications has been approved today. Below is my timeline. I didnt received ghost update.

Aor: march 13th 2020
Medical: april 14th 2020
Biometrics: oct 26th 2020 (dependent), nov 6th (myself).
Back ground and security: jan 15th 2021
Approval: 5th feb 2021.
Copr: not yet received.

@legalfalcon : expiry date of copr is showing as 13th march 2021. I am inland applicant and currently residing in canada. if I dont receive PR cards by that date then what are the steps should I follow?

Congratulations!!

The date on the COPR is only to have it stamped and land before the date. The COPR has no expiry date after it is stamped and signed by the immigration official.

The PR card will take 45-60 days to arrive.

Has the Eligibility been passed by an officer? Do you see a text like this? If it has not been passed by an officer then that is the reason why Security has not started

Once Security starts you will see the status change as follows;

It only means that you have to land in Canada before the date, as in you have to activate the COPR and have it stamped before the date.

Once stamped and you are admitted (if you are not in Canada), the stamped COPR will be the document that shows that you are a PR.

@legalfalcon thank you since I am already in canada and got ecopr so valid till Date doesn't matter then.

just had approval!

timeline as follows:

AOR - 10th march 2020
PNP/CEC INLAND stream - 4 dependants
Background passed - 29th December 2020 (same day daughter who want exempt from bio had them done.
Final Decision - 6th February 2021

I have list of document numbers but no documents - anyone know what happens next?

So I called IRCC today. I asked the guy if there had been any changes to my file since May 2020, and he said no LOL. He said he would make a note that I had called to ask for info, and hopefully the officer will see that, and do something about it.

I have seen a lot of CEC applicants from March AOR getting COPR's in the last 2 weeks, So happy for them. I called the agent yesterday, My case is Criminality under process the rest are all passed...
So frustrating, is there anyone else left here with a similar situation...

Same for me. I am march 2020 CEC inland applicant and i called IRCC on Thursday and they said everything passed except criminality.. It is still in progress. I have called them in November and they said same. I dont understand what is causing delay in our files. One of my friend who applied in June got CoPR last week.

Thanks for the reply, I seen most of the people who are getting their copr now, got their criminality passed around 2nd to end of Jan 2021. I hope they will extend our medicals...

I believe there are alot of march applicants with criminality in progress and security not started.

Hi @legalfalcon, would be great if you advise on my situation.

I am March 7 AOR with Biometrics in Oct 2020. My gcms notes state that my application was approved sometime in Oct 2020, with COPR document valid till Feb 10th. Have not received anything yet from IRCC or in the portal and the date is almost there now.

Calling IRCC does not really help; they say it is approved but there is nothing I can do; I request web form updates but haven't heard for over a month now. I am sure by this date medicals would expire. What happens in these situations?
