I been logging into my account and noticed my application has been updated but there is no change has been made!!. Anyone has the same issue? Or that just another glish on the system

Hi legalfalcon, hope you are doing good... Recently we have been asked to do remed and we considered it as a sign of good progress. But if it was triggered as a routine process since our last med was done in end Feb, then looks like we may have to wait for an unknown period of time. We will be really disheartened....

Tbh, I don’t care much at this point. I entered all of the information including UCI and my name.

My situation is the following: my wife and I have a lil baby in our hands and there’s an ongoing global pandemic. All this IRCC nonsense made me doubt if I should stay in the country at all. This treatment of professionals who came here and put a decent amount of trust in the system, worked their ass off and have been patiently waiting is a bad look from any angle. I submitted a complaint that expressed my frustration with the unjust treatment of applicants with AOR received in March 2020 such as myself. I sent a letter to the IRCC Minister and received nothing but an automated reply. Having some intern reply to our emails would be a low-hanging fruit but apparently it’s not in the cards either.

I’m a software dev, COVID has never stopped my work. CIC is a web app and all of the docs are digital, I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to go through applications all this time. It’s straightforward even when you think about the security implications of WFH. It’s ridiculous.

Leaving the country, breaking the lease, spending a decent amount of money on flights/hotels, risking my family health and going back to our home country would create a shitton of problems and would put our lives at risk as that part of the world doesn’t follow any strict guidelines. I had four distant relatives die in the last six months because of COVID. So, I’m pretty much looking at the last possible actions here to expedite the process.

I know that I can apply for BOWP in a couple of months but it’s stressful knowing that all of it is in the limbo. I’ve been staring at CIC status page for far too long now and totally gave up after I saw their update on Jan 19th.

@legalfalcon is there a way to let IRCC know I am ready to travel? I’m an American citizen in the states. Everything passed, security not initiated-since October. My meds are expiring in 18 days. AOR March 26th 2020

hey! US citizen here too. not many of us I think. FSW inland, but started out outland (moved to Canada on a work permit after AOR). Let's stay in touch would like to hear how your process is going. Best of luck!

Well said. And to think that these applications for most people require 3 touches or 4 if you like. Once at medical passed/ bio letter/ eligibility recommend pass, 2nd at Officer passing eligiblity and initiating Security, 3rd at decision making/ COPR. It's absolutely ridiculous. As an aside, BOWP is approved on the same day they look into it. It's absolutely unfair of IRCC to make people pay again for medical tests, BOWP, lose medical insurance not to mention all the other lost career opportunities. This is compounded by the fact that many applications have been approved after 4 months lately while some are waiting for close to 1 year

Not from US. I think i got excited for no reason. Now looks like being asked for 2nd med was simply a routine exercise. Very difficult to have hope in such situation.

Long-time lurker on this forum

Firstly, want to share my experience with ApplyGCMS.com:-

October 12th - sent them the required docs for the GCMS notes

November 6th - since all this while there was no response except for the automated message, wrote to them asking to send at least an acknowledgment or reference no. of some sort to track the status

Same day - replied with the Receipt no.

November 19th - received extension intimation email - +60 days apart from the usual 30

January 11th - wrote to them again asking for an update since it is nearing the +60 days and yet no update

January 19th - they sent me the GCMS notes with print-date 26th October

Strange that the notes were printed on 26th October - just 14 days after my application, yet it took more than 3 months to get my hands on the notes. Not sure if ApplyGCMS already had it and they forgot to upload it or the delay was from the other party

Anyway, details about the GCMS notes in the next post ...

My GCMS notes says the same thing and around page 56 there is an outgoing correspondence with a copr being issued. I haven't received it yet though but when contacted IRCC they said that my application is approved I just need to wait for the COPR.

I have seen people playing with the system and getting PR. I don't understand how to be patient anymore when there is no prioritization. My profile is pretty sorted. I don't see why these people are considering our profiles in that 20percent, which should remained left.

Something should be done but don't understand how to reach out these people. social platforms won't work as they get tones of request and its getting rotten without even taking a look or by there sympathy based emails. it seems like we gotta make videos and tagged them or do a protest or something
