The automated response system would give you no new information other than that which is already on your my account profile..
press 0 after the automated response to talk to an agent and he might be able to give you the present status of your application..
Oh Really, Thankyou VACK
Will gonna call them tomorrow morning

@legalfalcon @caipsnotes I have a question related to my Criminality in progress, which I was hoping you could help to answer. My aor is March 12. I had a one month driver license suspension while on G2 (in June 2018), due to over speeding. Will this have any repercussions on my PR application which is currently in progress? My eligibility and security is passed and criminality is pending due to biometrics ( scheduled on 26th October). I had paid all the necessary fees related to the suspension.
I am Pretty Sure No, I had the same situation. Its related to MTO, Nothing to do with IRCC

Hi fellow CEC inland applicants and @legalfalcon, I have some queries related to post COPR process:
There is a lot of posts and ambiguity related to PR card printing.
Also I think now we will be able to apply for SIN online, can that be done in the basis of COPR or do we need to wait for PR card?
And how about the heath card? I am covered under OHIP with expiry date in Jan 2021. Do we need to apply for a new health card due to change in status??
it will be of great help to us if someone who has seen their family and friends go through the process (Or @legalfalcon), can share their experience...

For SIN, you can apply with COPR. For OHIP, any of following is good
  • Permanent Resident Card
    • must be valid or expired no more than five years
  • Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292, 5688)
  • Canadian Immigration Identification Card
  • Record of Landing (IMM 1000)

Thanks. Am a little confused about the Health Card. Do we need to get it changed due to the immigration status change or it would be done on next renewal date ?

Noob question: Is this the place to check the application status (looking for IP1/2, MEP etc)?
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html

When I try to check the status, I get this response, I have tried few times: We were not able to identify you using the information you provided.

After applying for PR, I got a pdf (IMM 5794 - so this is my AOR) in my EE profile account saying the following. So I do have an application number starting with "E" followed by 9 numbers:
This letter confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada was received by Immigration,
Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) through your account on .
We created a file for your application. The application number is located in the upper right-hand corner of this
letter. You must quote this application number each time you contact us.

I read somewhere that I will have to link my application to my account but it seems to be for paper/in-person application.

Or am I in too much of a rush. Please advice

You can apply for a SIN with your COPR.

If you already have a health card, that will continue to ve valid and you do not need a new one just because you are now a PR. However, when your health card expires, you can at that time get it renewed and change your status as a PR.

Alternatively, you can even renew it before or update your status, but the validity of the health card will not be affected by your status change.

Thank you ... let’s hope that I receive the notes within 30 days .. fingers crossed
You are welcome, next time around if you need another copy of the Gcms Notes you can consider requesting it from CBSA instead of IRCC. There is variability of how long IRCC takes to process a request, sometimes < 30 days and sometimes > 30 days. With CBSA it more likely to be exact 30 days and so far at least there is less of a chance for delays with CBSA compared to IRCC.

Normally, the health card expiry date is same as your document status expiry (study permit, work permit, etc.) If you want to renew you need to use the new immigration document, in your case

When you apply express entry, it's an online application and all of the progress, application documents, status are in your EE application/profile when you login. I don't think we need to link anything here. When IRCC starts processing your case you should see the status in your profile.

Hi everyone, silent follower here, first time posting. Just got my PPR on 14 Oct 2020.

Massive thank you to @legalfalcon and @caipsnotes. You’re both so amazing, and the world needs more selfless, wonderful people like you.

Type: FSW-Outland
AOR: 31 March 2020
Medicals passed: 16 June 2020
Biometrics: 7 July 2020
GCMS notes ordered: 5 Oct 2020
PPR: 14 Oct 2020
COPR: *soon*
VO: Sydney, Australia
Country of origin: Nigeria
Country of residence: New Zealand

This application caused me so much anxiety, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. There was a lot of tears, prayers, sleepless nights, wishes, doubts etc.
So, I’m encouraging you all to please be patient. I know it’s very hard, but your time will come.
From my observation, if your application past the 3-4 months mark, you’re mostly safe; unlikely to get rejected, unless under crazy circumstances.

It’s just the waiting game now!

Thank you to canadavisa forum, for making me feel like I belong to a family/community; answering my questions.
Thanks to immigration tracker as well. If you don’t know, they summarize the journey of others as well, from AOR to PPR in a nice table.

Best wishes to you all… See you on the other side. Mwaaaaah! <3
Congratulations! I'm with similar timeine with you. Hope you all well in the future.
